There was a container ship explosion in Texas years ago that sent the anchor about 3 miles from where the explosion occurred... it was carrying fertilizer. Who knew the stuff was so volatile? These poor families... and in the wake of the Boston Marathon tragedy it's just too much too fast... even if they are totally unrelated (one being purposeful and the other an accident).

That blast was worse than the OKC bombing blast, imagine how bad it would've been if that plant was in a crowded city.

Yep... that's why I said to me, the fact that it was surrounded by homes is worse than being in the city. :)
Many more people would have been killed or hurt in a crowded area. It is devastating to lose a home, but in the end, homes are just stuff. People are more important.

I'm sure you didn't mean to imply that losing a bunch of people would be better than losing stuff! I just think that the original comment was more of a "Thank God more people weren't harmed" kind of thing.

Noooooooooooooooooo I more meant that because it happened late at night, homes had people in them vs. if it was in the city surrounded by say office buildings there probably would've been less lives lost!
