Hey!

Were those thunderstorms in the late afternoon/early evening not CLUTCH in sparing us from the HEAT!!! I arrived on Monday and the whole week I was begging for any sort of rain/storm.

When that storm came, my father and I were heading towards ToT and it came DOWN lol!! It was surreal being in line for ToT with the lightning bolts and thunder around us .....very fitting for the ride.

From what I saw in the newspaper and on tv, this was the first rain in a few weeks? Did it end up raining yesterday (Saturday) at all?

It seems as though the last three years my family has gone to WDW, the amount of rain has gone down considerably. I use to actually look foward to those afternoon storms to cool everything down and at the same time shorten the wait times!

I was over at Universal Studios on Friday...goodness, that storm was intense! My roommate and myself were literally the only people actually walking through the park...everyone else was huddled in shops, under awnings, and clogging up ride entrances. The rain was hard enough that we couldn't see where we were going...we ended up right at the entrance to RotM, so we rode it like 4 times with no line at all...My roommate hates that ride, but I had fun!

I was at AK and Epcot. Since I've been in Michigan all summer I wanted to get a spin on Everest and KS before classes started, but right when I started heading back there the storms popped up. So I just took some pictures for my update and left.

I then pretty much sat in my car in the Epcot parking lot for about 20-30 minutes waiting for the rain to stop pouring buckets. Then spent some time hiding under the monorail track and looking to ride the longer rides in the park to avoid the rain. Still got some stuff done, but not nearly as much as I normally would have.

It rained a little in Daytona yesterday, not much, but a little. It looked like there were the usual pop up thunderstorms all over the state.
