So i've been planning on proposing to my girlfriend this December since our trip last holiday season. When I found out this might be the last year for the Osbourne Lights I new that was my "excuse" for wanting to go so badly because 1, she knows how obsessed I am with LED lighting (how I earn my money, lol) and 2, I really do wanna go see them one more time. So I thought it was perfect. I've been talking to her for months on when she wanted to go, well she never really gave an answer. I was planning on going Dec 13th-15th, a nice short weekend trip. So I talked to her recently and told her to use one of her personal days for the 13th (friday) and she told me she really didn't want to go because she didn't wanna spend the money and miss work, she also didn't want to use her personal day (she loses it at years end so IDK why she wants to keep it) but this is RUINING my plans on proposing lol!!!
I then told her I'd pay for the whole trip and she started telling me that I don't need to spend all that money and she wouldn't let me do that. She said she knows I wanted to see the lights but she doesn't think its worth the trip. So IDK what to do now.
We have a nice Christmas event locally with lights and music and live holiday entertainment that runs most nights of this month and thats always been a back up plan but that was only if I couldn't afford a WDW trip but thats not the case. I never imagine my girlfriend would turn down a WDW trip and what really has me confused/torn up/not knowing what to do is I know if I propose locally she'll realize thats the REAL reason why I wanted to go to WDW and she'll be upset with herself.
I'm kind of damned if I do and damned if I don't!
How do I force someone to go to WDW and make them pay for half lol?
