Good Morning Everyone..Now all you professional planners out there know which resort to pick, which restaurants to book your ADRS, the days which have early magic hours & late magic hours, etc, etc. But do any of you plan out the weird, wacky,& wonderful..Example last year we planned to take photos of each other in all the Epcot countries wearing a sombrero in Mexico,or a Fez in morocco, just to get the countries feel in the photo. Then we planned to get photos with a Disney genre, another example was my DW wanted to get as many taken with princesses, and my DS wanted to get as many taken with the villains, and myself getting pics with the older characters like Pinnochio..And lastly our beloved pins & lanyards..My DS wanted a Star Wars collection all on one lanyard,my DW wanted all the princesses, and I decided on a Pixar lanyard collection..We managed to achieve these wacky planning ideas and it added to the fun of being at Disney. But do any of your selfs have these weird, wacky, and wonderful planning ideas.Or are we ( well me anyway ) just completely weird & wacky.?:(

When we did our grand family gathering a few ago my DW had the group's picture taken by the photo pass people in front of each park icon, e.g. Cinderella's castle, spaceship earth, the sorcerers’ hat and the tree of life. She later printed out copies, framed each picture in a 4 picture frame and gave one to each family as a keepsake.

Evening Hatter.;) It's 10:46 pm.

Anyway, when I was in Disneyland, I did the Maxwell the pig thing on every thrill ride. Yes, I cried wee wee wee all the way to the end. On California Screamin' from the initial launch to the first lift hill I cried wee wee wee and when we got to the lift hill I said, "Pure. Adrenaline." Then I continued on my wee wee wee streak. I drove my mother crazy with this and fully intend to do it at the world in August. :D If you are not familiar with the reference, please look up Maxwell the Pig on youtube. I would, but it could be considered Spam since it came from a commercial.

James did something similar this trip he wanted his picture with various hats in EPCOT, he also did a hidden Mickey hunt! He also hit all the kidcots in one day! Don't you just love the energy level of a 10 year old.:D
I strongly believe that just being in WDW ups your energy level..Theres no way I'd do all that walking back home, day and night, for 14 days..;)

We take pictures around the world with various hats, too! We each get money for a Christmas decoration and buy it when no one is looking and bring them out on Christmas Eve for our reveal! Really fun! Can't wait to the youngest is old enough to participate, too!!
Another cute idea..I bought my DW a margarita in La Cava last year when she wasn't looking. But she didn't like it,so I had to drink it..Phew!..Life can sometimes be tough..;)

My wife and I are going to WDW in Sept. This will be her first trip to Disney with her new Service Dog. She's already planning which characters she wants to have the dog's picture taken with. Weird, Wacky Wonderful ?? Yeah, all three. And of course we will be on the lookout for Jiminy!!!

I LOVE that idea!! 10 of us will be there in November and that would be a perfect Christmas gift!

Last trip, I decided to focus on light fixtures. I hit a point in the trip where I was seriously taking pictures of every single light fixture that crossed my path. That particular TR (the one linked in my sig) is just full of lighting pics. :D I've been debating about a similar secondary theme for this upcoming trip. Potential subject matters include: seating, doors, door knobs, window treatments, place settings, and interesting flooring/walkways.

Yes, it's kind of wacky, but I think so much of the WDW magic comes down to the attention to finer details. The inspiration actually came from a TR from another forum member who concentrated on the different types of trash cans. It was amazing to see all the different kinds and how well themed they are for their respective areas. :)
