Weird Disney Find at at Local Close-Out Store

I was at a local close-out store today. They get close-outs from a lot of retailers and from Amazon. You never know what you will find there, but everything is still new in the box. As I was looking at toys, I saw a Mattel Dancing Esmerelda Doll new in the box from 1995! I have no idea why they have a toy that old on their shelves. The box is in rough shape, but the doll is in great condition. I bought it since it was only $6. I looked on eBay when I got home, and they are priced from $50 to $100.

Now, my question - would this be still be considered a collectible item especially since the box is not in good shape? I don't know if I should try to sell it or just let my two little girls play with it. I am not big into collectibles so I have no idea. I just grabbed it because I have never seen an Esmerelda doll before.

I'd try to sell it. Even if the box isn't in great condition, you could still end up getting quite a bit more than you paid.

Where are the Disney outlet stores located in Orlando, FL?
I like to shop for Disney items, but usually do it at Downtown Disney or the actual park...
any other stores near the Disney/Universal area that would have Disney items?

There is this one store called theme park connections about an hour or so away from the world, but they sell all kinds of collectables, especially hard to find ones!

I would just give it to the kids. While there are several out there with an asking price of $100 and up, none of them have bids on them. The latest one I found that actually sold went for less than $16 and it was mint.

Funny you posted this! DD's birthday was today, and she wanted it so I gave it to her. My DDs have never seen The Hunchback of Notre Dame or Esmerelda so I am going to see if I can find it for us to watch. She loved the tambourine.

The Blu-ray release (combo pack) is March 12th so it wont be long before it's back on store shelves.
