I was at a local close-out store today. They get close-outs from a lot of retailers and from Amazon. You never know what you will find there, but everything is still new in the box. As I was looking at toys, I saw a Mattel Dancing Esmerelda Doll new in the box from 1995! I have no idea why they have a toy that old on their shelves. The box is in rough shape, but the doll is in great condition. I bought it since it was only $6. I looked on eBay when I got home, and they are priced from $50 to $100.
Now, my question - would this be still be considered a collectible item especially since the box is not in good shape? I don't know if I should try to sell it or just let my two little girls play with it. I am not big into collectibles so I have no idea. I just grabbed it because I have never seen an Esmerelda doll before.
