Hi Guys,
Just came back from WDW. It was a weekend getaway for my 10th wedding anniversay. Anyway, it sure didn't go as planned. My flight was supposed to leave NJ Thursday at 5:00 pm. Because of weather delays it didn't take off until 11:40pm. Arrived at MCO at 2:15am. Got the rental car and arrived at Saratoga Springs at 3:00am. The resort is beautiful, but what is truly amazing is how many building are under construction. I think I counted about ten. That resort will be huge. And the view of Downtown Disney is awesome!

Friday, we woke up at 10:00am to find a voicemail that all of WDW would close at 1:00pm. I had planned to take the Seas Aqua Tour that day and my wife was going to the Spa. Both were cancelled and rescheduled for Sat. Spent the day just driving the property, and getting supplies for a night indoors. They were selling bag lunches for $3. Came with chips and fruit, a bargain in WDW!! The storm came, and it was wild. Lights flickered, shingles came off the roof, trees came down. But luckily, no major damage. A few of us nuts went outside when the winds calmed down to about 60 mph. That was until security came and chased us back to our rooms. (can't balme them).

Saturday, I left for Epcot at 8:15 am. My wife stayed at the resort for a day at the spa. The areas of WDW were hit hard. Trees were down everywhere. The roads still had lots of debris. The old Treehous Villa resort area looked like a mess. AK & Typhoon Lagoon remained closed. MK, MGM, Blizzard Beach, and Epcot were open. DownDisney opened awhile later. Got to park at Epcot in the first row!! (a big thrill). Got in about 9:15. Went on Mission Sace and Test Track (which was not working 100%). Got a bite to eat, went to Living Seas, shopped, and then went to take the Aqua Tour. When I got to Guest Relations, they told me all tours were cancelled. This was annoying, because I rescheduled it the day before. So, I headed back to Saratoga Springs for a dip in the pool, and it started to rain!
When my wife got back, we went to the MarketPlace at DD. It looked like nothing had happend. They sure got it cleaned up and running in a hurry. We returned to get ready for our anniversary dinner at Victoria & Alberts.
This was definately the thing that saved the trip for us. Dinner was incredible. The atmosphere, the service, the food, THE DESERT!! We opted for the wine pairings (you only live once). It was awesome. I highly reccomend it if you can afford it. It really made the trip worth while!

Sunday, we left early to the airport. From what I had heard AK would be open, but Typhoon Lagoon was still closed. I think it took some major damage. Our flight was on time (for once). But Orlando was a mess. Power was still out. Debris everywhere. The Thrifty car rental building was badly damaged. And every gate in our wing of Orlando Intl Airport had roof damage. There were more ceiling tiles on the floor, than on the ceiling. Our flight left without a hitch, and we're home. Back with two jealous kids, cause mom and dad went to Disney without them!!
Oh yeah, I'm already planning our next trip. This time, I'm thinking February. here's no hurricanes in Frebruary, are there????
