week AFTER Thanksgiving..

Okay, we heard how wretched it was Friday after Thanksgiving. Now anyone have a clue as to how the crowds will be this up coming weekend (Dec 6-8)? We are going to the VMCP on Friday and MK on Saturday. I was hoping to have a pleasant time just strolling without really heavy lines.

we just got back yesterday (from 11/30 to 12/3 - see the honeymoon trip report i just posted) and the crowds were very lite. There didn't seem to be hardly anyone in the parks. A waiter at MGM told me that it had been busy but that it was slacking off. We strolled pretty casually through all the parks and never felt crowded or rushed. I'd say it was a great time and we'll plan to go back same time next year.

We went to WDW the week after Thanksgiving two years ago. We picked that week because I called WDW and ask them "When is the least crowded time to visit WDW during the Holiday Season?" The answer was "the week after Thanksgiving, this place is dead" and it was. No lines, no waiting. We went on Buzz Lightyear, walked right on, rode it, walked back in and rode it again.

It was like that at all the parks and the weather was wonderful. We also did Mickey's Very Merry Christmas and it was great too.

I highly recommend going at that time. We were going this week originally but I had to push it back to Jan 03 because of my new job.
