This is why I use Opera :D
LOL that's more a case of luck. ;) Certainly with this site, and the vast majority of sites, they are developed and tested for use on the most widely used browser, currently IE6. While some of the fringe browsers may work, I would still recommend that for the vast majority of users, IE6, with all the lastest security patches from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com is the best setup for WDWMAGIC.

I have a Yahoo Companion popup blocker......I'd hate to turn it off though, that thing has blocked 397 popups currently.
You dont need two popup blockers. Just use the standard Microsoft popup blocker that is part of Internet Explorer when Service Pack 2 is installed on XP. There is a good chance that Yahoo blocker (or the combination of it and others) is causing the problem.

I was not using IE6 - I mostly run Firefox now and it kept locking up when I was on the forums. I had to switch back to IE6 for a short time until you were good enough to put up the no flash option.
Ahh right OK I remember. Yeah I think the problem there is that the Flash plugin for Firefox is still pretty early in its development. It wasnt too good at running the Flash content and the actual website.

With IE6, there shouldnt be any problem with running the Flash styles on the forum.

Thanks for the input everyone. I was having problems with Firefox and the magic boards. The computer would freeze up and I'd have to do the old CTRL + ALT + DELETE trick to manually close those windows still open. This also happened on my new laptop that I bought two months ago. It only started to happen since the Christmas banner appeared, so I've followed Tramp's and Barnum's advice about turning that script off. It may be a case, as you say Steve, of the problem being with Firefox. But I love Firefox and I rarely, if ever, use IE now. But let's see if the "script trick" works.
