My next visit to the faboulous WDW will begin December 4th through until December 18th. Has anyone visited during this time and can tell me what the weather is like during this time??
I have only been in the months of September and July and it has always been nice and warm. Is it still warm enough for shorts??
Also, does anyone know if they make it snow on main street? i have heard a rumour about this...??
Sorry if this has already been a thread but i searched and couldn't find it - thank you - plus this is my first thread so be nice to me

December?

 I'm new here, too, so welcome. We have gone early December before and we have had to wear winter coats and gloves at night and coats in the morning. I dont think we wore shorts at all. It gets chilly. They have it snow on Main St. for the Mickeys very merry christmas party. dont know if they do it otherwise. THat is worth buying tickets for. Its a blast. Have a good time. We will be back Jan. 2007. Yaaay!!!:sohappy:

I visited in December a couple of years ago, it was warm enough for shorts in the day but dropped cooler in the evenings. The second week we were there it was too cool to go swimming. We went to the Mickeys Christmas party at MK and they do make it snow on Main Street.

Last year it was very pleasant; cool in the daytime (not cold, but jeans were preferred to shorts, and a t-shirt would be fine for part of the day, but a light jacket was useful!...I'd say it averaged in the mid 50s to mid 60s) and it did get pretty cold at night (down into the 40s/upper 30s...I needed a hat and gloves at Mickey's Very Merry on December 13th last year)

Check out http://www.wdwmagic.com/weather_monthlyaverages.htm for more information... I have been in december (and i live in Florida) and the weather is unpredictable. I have been to the beach on Christmas day (it was 80) but then a week later was below freezing (north Florida. Be prepaired for any weather during December from hot humid weather to very cold.

He hit it right on the head.

You have to prepare for both. We have been the last 2 years in a row (around Dec 15-22) and have had some days with shorts, some days with long pants. Some nights with a short sleve shirt, some nights with a light coat. We have never had a night for gloves, hats etc. I have seen some locals dressed that way but if you've come from your home state that is generally 30 degrees colder it feels warm in Orlando.

We were even lucky enough to have a couple 80 degree days in early Jan this past year. I went swimming with the kids in the pool at Poly!

Yes it does snow on Main Street (MVMCP) and MGM as you walk down the street looking at the Osbourne Lights. Enjoy your trip!!!:xmas:

We were there between 12/3 and 12/12 last year. It's supposed to be a dryer time of the year, but we ended up with about 1/2 rain. Some days it was beautiful and then others it was wet cold and rainy. Plan for both. You could get georgous weather the whole time, hopefully. We froze the first couple of nights we were there (I had my down vest and was fine) but then the night of the MVMCP, it was warm and muggy.

One note - since it did rain many of the days we were there, the MVMCP was on no matter what... I think they did let some people change the tickets to another night, but you weren't guaranteed with the weather. Warning...if it is foggy or you have low clouds, you will NOT see the fireworks well. That said... it was nice to see the decorations and such.

i arrived 2 days before xmas day '05 and i thought it was resonable. brits think anything is warmer than the UK and it was.
i would go out in my shorts and be waiting at the bus stops and all the americans would look at me as for having shorts on when they would have their winter coats on and jeans with thick tops. i was at MK when a nasty cold wind blew and i frozen it was that cold so i went home and put my jeans on -which kept me verry warm. but it was a pain washing them coz they took ages to dry!

on a good side BB should of been called brits beach coz there was so many brits there.

take loads of jeans (depending on how long you go for) and hoodies coz thats all people wear during day and night and get hot chocolate from MK main street bakery that warms you up of a night!!:)

Exactly, to me anything below 65 is chilly but to my wifes family in RI, 65 is warm! It just depends on how thick your blood is ;)
