Weather and Crowds in Oct

We are making our 1st trip to DL this Oct. Can anyone tell me what the weather is like and what we could expect about the crowd size..THANKS! :animwink:

Nice and Small. Nice Weather, probably peak around 75 with small crounds. (Assuming you avoid Sunday or Saturday)

Depending on when in October you go... when the Haunted Mansion Holiday gets started, you can look at some pretty big crowds centered around that attraction near Halloween. Do you have a date set yet?

I've been around October a number of times. You may get spurts of rain, but they rarely last long. Heat is generally not too stifling and the crowds very manageable. It's a good time to go.

I was there midweek in Oct. 97, and our longest wait was 20 minutes for Peter Pan.

Bring a mod. to heavy jacket...even though it might be 70 in the day time the fog sometimes rolls in from the beach and and can easily and quickly turn to the the mid 50's.

Crowds are light to moderate with operating hours from 10 -8pm at DL and 10-6pm at DCA mon-fri...No fantasmic except for Sat/sun. And no fireworks.

Typically, the beginning of October the weather is still a bit warm, but prepare yourself anyways with shorts for the day and sweatshirts and jackets for the evening. Weather here is very fickle.
