Wearing Glasses on rides?

Hey Mouseketeers,
Do you guys wear your glasses on some of the more "faster" rides or do you take them off?
I always took mine off but then it leaves me with not a very fun ride. On my last trip I rode some rides where I felt like I could have left them on and it would have been fine.
So my question is do you take them on or off and if so on which rides? Thanks so much!

My first trip ever to Disney World I kept my glasses off on every right, what a dumb idea. Like you said it's not as fun and you sure can't experience the attraction in its full potential. So, I used an older pair just in case and I was fine on every ride. This passed January I tried my newer glasses with the same results. Only thing I may suggest is go to your eye doctor and get your frames tightened up so they're nice and snug to your face. That's what I did and it worked very well, felt like I went on every attraction for the first time all over again :)

Thanks so much! I have some of those necklaces things for my glasses, so I think I might use them.I am looking forward to seeing the rides in a new light this trip!!
You'll love it, best decision ever putting them on. Like I said get them tightened if that works. The strap will work just in case but not needed. From space mountain to ToT and RnRC I had no issues, enjoy!:)

I usually do and did this past trip. I barely caught my spare pair as they were falling of on RnRC. I got lucky because I would get migraines without them for a long period of time. I now take them off on every ride...just in case. I am not getting another set because it is about $350 with my insurance. If I am getting LASIK in the next few months, that $350 is 10% of the cost for LASIK.

I use the necklace type (It is not a chain but a plastic band) and when I go on ToT or Space I use a safety pin and pin the end to my shirt. Never had my glasses come off but this gives me confidence that I will not lose them on the ride.

I can only think of one time that my sunglasses were in jeopardy when wearing them on a ride, but over the years I have been more of a "why risk it" type of guy. My advice would be that the more you pay, the less you should risk.

I've worn glasses my whole life. The only ride I take them off for is Everest. I'm not comfortable with the high speed backward section. First time I rode it I felt I had to hold them so they didn't get whipped off on that backward section, so now I take them off and put them away. Other than that, I keep them on for everything else.

I'm paranoid about losing my glasses so I use a neoprene strap that hold them fairly tightly on my face on several of the coaster type rides. The particular brand I use is called Croakies. Glasses don't move and don't fall down around my neck as they would with most cords. If I don't have the strap with me, I just take off the glasses and put them inside
