Well, we made our decision and booked a December trip--- the free dining helped make that decision. We love Disney but have always enjoyed the magic in the warm weather. This is new territory and we don't want to miss any of the holiday fun especially since we will wake up on Christmas morning there. Can you help us out so we can make the most of our trip. What are must do's during the holiday season? Is there anything that we should do on Christmas day to make it an extra special magical day?? Our group are four kids- 11, 13,15,17 and 4 adults.

If you plan to go to MK on Christmas Day, get there super early! It will be very crowded and they will eventually stop letting people in because of capacity. A lot of people will do their present opening and festivities in the morning, so try to get there early so you can enjoy the park.

Christmas time at WDW is beautiful! Also, if you plan to do Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, get your tickets early!

I agree with @Disneygrl ... get your tickets for MVMCP now, because those that are that close to Christmas will sell out! Magic Kingdom will be the most crowded of the parks on Christmas Day. A lot of people come and line up to see the parade, so many attractions are not too crowded in the morning, but after the parade it can be daunting.

Bring a few decorations for your room. We even brought a tiny tree with us when we visited at Christmas. People had their windows decorated with Christmas lights and stickers. It was really fun. We had a gift for our Mousekeeper and she left a special treat for our children...they were delighted.

Since it will be crowded in the parks, take time to enjoy the resorts and all the decorations too.

Sounds like some great ideas especially the gift for the mousekeeper. We will plan on taking a small tree and some lights. I was going to ship a box of small gifts to the hotel. I was nervous about the park being so crowded but I guess you just have to get your head around it. I can't imagine not being at the MK on Christmas day. Every time I drive by the AAA office- I yell, Were going to Disney for Christmas!!!

Just in case, we can't see them all which resorts are a don't miss.

Probably the two biggest "must do's" for us are the Candlelight Processional at Epcot and checking out the various Christmas trees at the hotels on property.

But you will still get the MVMCP perks! The Christmas parade will run during the day, and Holiday Wishes will be the nightly fireworks. (Not to mention the castle lights!)

Yup. Very excited about that. We've done Disneyland many times over Christmas, but never WDW.
