ok so i've been to disneyworld more time then i could count. but never to disneyland, since we have moved from FL to Tx. we are exaclty half way in between the two disney properties. we are planning a trip to Disneyland in about 2 years. (yes its far but we have a lot happening right now) I want to see if I can reserve it or at least the hotel as soon as it is available so I can pay monthly on it. I do not think we'll be able to afford to stay right on disney but I notice they have lots of off site properties where you can still get dining and tickets etc. any one recommend any of these?? If I'm just looking for a place to lay my head and shower, Motel 6 is my prefence. It saves me money and I've traveled all over CA and stayed with them and had only 1 negative experience. I enjoyed the Sheraton quite a bit (especially if you can get upgraded to a starwood room, which often happens for free if you ask 
). I had a good experience at the Desert Palms Inn and Suites and the Hilton Inn and Suites. Out of the two, I found that the rooms in the Palms were larger and quieter for your money, but darker in general as well. The Palms also seemed closer as far as walking distance goes.
