Well guys..we are back home in Spain after or 9-day American adventure!
I really want to share our experiences with you but i have three kids and not all that much free time..so i thought i would break it down into categories...
Starting with...
The parks:
Without a doubt, for my 6-year old son and my DH their fav park was MK. For my DD who is 9 and for me, it is a tie between AK and MK. MK is well of course...magical and I love the atmosphere but i loved the African and Asian atmosphere in AK
My sister who also came with us really liked HS. The atmosphere was great!
So..all in all...our least favourite was Epcot. The Future World part felt too serious for us! And the World Showcase part was nice but i felt it was missing some attractions! We did some character pictures and all (Jasmine, Donald Duck in Mexico) but for the rest it just felt like there was not much to do except shopping and eating
The rides:
MK: My children who are thrill lovers really like Space Mountain. For me, my fav ride in MK was Peter Pan's flight .My toddler really enjoyed it...and he loooved Winnie Pooh's ride.
AK: I loved the Safari...it was like stepping into a different world. My kids loved EE..they went on it like 10 times!
HS: Everyone really liked The Tower.. for me my fav ride was the Great Movie Ride.
Epcot: My fav there was Nemo! My children loved Spaceship Earth.
The Hotel:
We stayed at the lion King suite at Art of Animation and it was great. I loved the decor...I love the bathtub after a long day at the parks...and the pools were a hit with the kids. The entrance hall was beautiful too! Overall the hotel was a big success.
The restaurants
Our TS restaurants were BOMA, TUSKER HOUSE, GARDEN GRILL, RAINFOREST and 50s PRIME TiME. My absolute fav was Boma...incredibly good food and desserts. The character interaction at both GG and TH was good. We did GG for breakfast and i wasn't too hungry which was too bad as the food was nice. The only long wait we had was at 50's...but my chop was worth the wait. The food at the Rainforest was nothing to write home about but the decor was awesome. The lunch buffet at TH was good but Boma was better!
Our QS restaurants were Columbia harbour House (the lobster roll was a bit of a disappointment), Fairfax Fare (the ribs were too saucy but the smoked turkey leg was good!), ribs at the Harambe Market (delicious), sushi at the Kartsure Grill(nothing special) and Be our Guest (awesome food and my favourite decor...Beauty and Beast is my fav Dsney movie)
Snacks
My fav snack was a peanut britlle cupcake from Main Street Bakery...quite possibly the best cupcake i ever had.School bread at Norway was a clos second. We also enjoyed the Mickey ice creams, the cotton tamarin chocolate cupcake at AK, funnel cake at the World Showcase, dole whip!!and chicken rice at Anandapur and lots of Starbucks drinks. Really all desserts were great
I think being on the Disney Plan was a hit. We didn't go hungry..and we didn't feel like we were spening a lot bc everything was paid for beforehand...
The weather
I was totally unprepared for the kind of heat we had when we first arrived...nobody had packed any shorts or sandals and it was hot..summer hot for us...then on our fourth day i rained.. there was a storm and it was raining heavily for hours...and then for the last three days it was nice abd cool during the day and chilly after sunset. So..totally unpredictable..like you guys said!
Have to go...will continue later!
