WDW's involvement in DL's 60th Anniversary (open brainstorming)

As the thread says, this is for how Walt Disney World would be involved with Disneyland's 60th anniversary (the thread for which is found here: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=525525).

Here's a list for several of the things for how WDW would get in on Disneyland's celebration. Bear in mind, however, that this list is by no means complete. It's just several ideas I had in mind. Here they are:

  • Magic Kingdom
    • New nighttime parade and fireworks show to replace SpectroMagic and Wishes, respectively. The parade would be a light parade on WDW's MK's history (a la Remember Dreams Come True, but in a parade instead of fireworks), the fireworks show is a tribute to Walt Disney's legacy. It will be called "Walt Disney: The Legacy of a Wish".
    • Return the Tiki Room to its original state.
    • Do a compromise version of POTC that somehow can be win-win for the ride fans and the movie fans. More later.
    • Add several more attractions to Fantasyland, including a new version of DL's Pinocchio ride and a new Toontown to give Mickey and Minnie a new home.
    • On Main Street, the Exposition Hall at Town Square will be the new home of One Man's Dream, fresh from the Studios. It fits since it's similar to the Walt Disney Story.
  • Epcot
    • Overhaul Journey Into Imagination. Not just the ride, but the entire pavilion.
    • Spruce up Spaceship Earth, giving it a new narrator, replacing the interactive stuff near the end and (re)installing into the ride the unofficial song, "Tomorrow's Child".
    • Cut back on the amount of characters in the Seas pavilion. Rename it The Living Seas, but still have some Finding Nemo characters and also throw in characters from The Little Mermaid, albeit a lot less obviously.
    • Where Wonders of Life (or was), that will be bulldozed and replaced with a new version of Horizons.
    • A new Soarin' movie at the Land, themed to Florida, just like how DCA's Soarin' is themed to California.
    • Add different Disney characters to different World Showcase pavilions, like how they have characters in DL's Small World now. Characters would only be found in pavilions they fit in (i.e., Snow White in Germany, Pinocchio in Italy, Alice In Wonderland, Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh and so on in the United Kingdom, etc.).
    • A new river rapids ride found at the Germany pavilion, where the old boat ride concept would've been found.
  • Disney's Hollywood Studios
    • A new, improved Great Movie Ride.
    • Relocate the hat to someplace else in the park, so as not to obscure the view of the Chinese Theater.
    • Replace the Indiana Jones stunt show with a variation on the Indy ride found at Disneyland.
    • A water thrill ride themed to "Fantasia". Not my idea originally, however.
    • One Man's Dream and Voyage of the Little Mermaid will both be retired. The former will be relocated to the Magic Kingdom, the latter will be removed completely. That will be because of the new Little Mermaid ride coming to the Magic Kingdom as part of the new Fantasyland.
  • Animal Kingdom
    • A Pocahontas-themed water ride found at Camp Minnie-Mickey.
  • Elsewhere
    • One thing that could happen is an expansion of the monorail to all over the property. A new station will come to the Studios and several of the hotels, including the Caribbean Beach Resort. Another will travel all the way out to Typhoon Lagoon and Downtown Disney. There will also be several new Transportation and Ticket Centers to link to several of the new tracks around the resort. The one near the Magic Kingdom won't be getting a new track to the Studios, however. That will only be found on the one leaving Epcot.

What do you think so far? As you can see, the lion's share of WDW's involvement in DL's 60th anniversary will be directed at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
