What is Walt Disney World Magic (not the website, the thing). :)

Please explain yourself, also!

Remember - this is not why you like Walt Disney World - this is what you think the "magic" is.

Being able to take a family to a place where there wouldnt be any worries. Walt wanted a place to take his children... Now we can take ours :)

CEO has children???!!!!!

I am actually stuck between three. That is, the thematic references, the family deal, and the individual effect. All three are MAJOR when it comes to the term Disney itself...I forgot the feature of multiple voting...

CEO is younger than I am and I don't even have a girlfirend yet.

Singing Tapestry is a real turn off for girls. And the ones who love robotics and computers are already taken.

Damn :brick:

I agree with CEO that it's the family thing. My dad has a pretty severe mental disorder and its the one place we can go together and find common ground and bond. No one understands how we can be so close when he's so sick, but I really think its been the anual drives down to disney, and experiencing the parks, and the magic of seeing the detail of Disney together that has kept our relationship strong.

WDWMagic is anything connected with Disney which allows an escape from the troubles of the world - be it for two hours watching a film, or a fourteen day holiday in WDW.

I voted for the details because I think it's the fact that they have paid attention to every small detail that makes the experience so entirely magical for all of us! It leads to everything else like the bonding, the thrill of the rides, the feeling of being special... This is just my opinion but I really think that the attention to every little detail is what makes Disney so special!!!

The bond a family gets when they are there is definately what walt wanted, and it is also what the magic of Disney is. For a week we can all forget our troubles and just be in our world of fantasy and get along and enjoy each others company.

For me its the details & general atmosphere of WDW. Its a feeling you get that we all know, but can't explain.... WDW Magic.

Its not even WDW too, I get the same feeling at the Airport (Orlando Int.) The monorail ride, the huge open atrium of the airport. The airport alone is a major highlight of my trip.

Walt Disney World is your inner child bursting out everytime you see Cinderella's Castle or Spaceship Earth or any disney item that makes you feel joyous. And it is the bonding of family.

To me, the Magic is in the details. Everything, everything is so carefully placed to fit within the universes the Imagineers' have created in the parks, lands, and attractions. I know logically that what I experience at WDW are fabrications - I'm not really riding a rocket ship into space, I'm not on an African safari, I'm not touring the Hollywood Tower Hotel, etc. However, the less work it is for me to suspend that disbelief and "live" the experience, the better it is for me. To accomplish this, the Imagineers have to pay attention to every detail, which I think they do extremely well.
