WDWMagic Pet Peeves?

Let me start by saying this is the best fan site anywhere!! And I really mean that!

However, do you have any pet peeves with these member forums? I've seen threads about Cast Member Pet Peeves and Guest Pet Peeves, but just wondering if there are any WDWMagic Forum Member Pet Peeves. I've got some to kick this off:

1. When members say, "This topic has already been posted. Do a search!!!"

2. When members say, "This is in the wrong section. You need to post it in this other section" (even though once the damage is done only the forum moderators can actually move it)

3. When someone shares some exciting news and someone else says, "I already mentioned this", like it's so important to get credit for being the first one to know something.

Those are some of mine. What are some of your's?

LOL, members complaining about the way people post.

Thanks for saying it.
I try to stay away from negative posts. I'm a firm believer in the old adage "if you can't say something nice....".
I just let those types of posts roll off my back; I rarely get worked up about a post, but when I do....:fork: (its not pretty).

I agree with jrriddle... I've been corrected before but there were smilies after it... and it made me a better person, from a disney stand point

I don't mind being corrected, as long as some one puts a smileyface or a wave after it.

I don't mind being corrected either, we all make mistakes. There is a right way and a wrong way. I usually answer the question and then let them know its been done before (and try to direct them to the right thread), that kind of thing.
If I really have a problem with someone I'll PM them and let them know how I feel.
Saying "sorry" when you offend someone doesn't hurt either. I guess sometimes people forget to use the manners their moms taught them.

Of course I do mind being corrected by SpongeScott.

I don't find it as bad on this board as I do on some other sites (which will remain nameless).
Everyone here is pretty easygoing here unless the post has angered someone.

I'd have to say mine is people getting upset over construction and maintenince issues inherint to the parks. We all want to see new and exciting things, but the construction of said things upsets people ie: The walls around AE/Stich's Great Escape, or the sky cranes visibility near Soarin'. Not to mention the painting of either Splash Mountain or Star Tours. All things can not be completed in a wink of an eye or with some pixie dust, they take time with construction eye sores being a result. I'd say in the long run these things will add to the park. Too bad some can't see past the temporaries.

  • When people ask the most stupid questions.
    When people slate the cast.
When older members come down hard on newer members, not making them feel welcome.
When like 8 threads have been started about the same thing.

When people type the same way in here that they do in Chat Rooms. Not everyone on here is a Yahoo Buff, and we don't all understand sentences with numbers in place of words, or that have zero punctuation, or awful grammer and spelling...for example:

"hey hu agreez with me bout my opinyon cuz i wanna no i think itz anoying wen ppl rite sentences in gibberish and wen they dont use no periods or nething who agreez"

Everyone makes spelling errors and type-os, but come on, at least write half-way complete sentences!

Now see I just chalked that up to age. ("all the kids do it" )

My peeve is all these people going to the parks and reporting how wonderful it was, while I'm stuck here working a 8-6 everyday. It's like a daily Disney crack attack.

BTW JK, please continue the reports and rub it in for me. :animwink:

Biggest pet peeve is...the lack of respect people sometimes have for one another on the forums...

And...don't get me started on those premium members....Who do they think they are??

:lookaroun  :lookaroun
