YES,YES,YES finally those of us who have used and NOT abused the fast pass system will be vindicated. I have always felt that I got taken when I'd wait to get on a ride only to have the last two seats taken by some one who had a a fast pass from an earlier time decide that NOW they wanted to do the ride. The time on the fast pass is not a suggestion.

It's not abuse of the system if CM's were allowing it. While we didn't ever hoard FP's until the end of the day, there were times that we did use them after the allotted time. The CM's ALLOWED it. They had been allowing it for years actually.

You do realize if they hadn't used it at night, they would've used it earlier in the day, and you would get on the ride at the same time anyway, right?

You sound like an extremely bitter person. Just don't get too frustrated when I use my 1:30 fastpass at 1:25. After all, pretty soon it will be Disney policy (hence disproving your claim that the times on the FP are not a suggestion).

Well said, guys!

So 55% in this poll prefer to throw away the flexibility, spontaneity, freedom, etc., of the current FP system in favor of a more regimented one that will undoubtedly require more clockwatching, backtracking, and a "commando" approach than the existing one. To each their own, I guess.

Ironically, the ability to use a FP whenever convenient as long as you are after the first time is one reason I always defended the system when others accused it of creating more clockwatching and backtracking.

For me, if these rumoured changes are implemented at WDW, this will be just one more reason to choose Disneyland!

Disneyland needs this system even more than WDW. My trip there last month was chaotic enough at night and I was hoarding Fastpasses. I actually see this as increasing spontaneity. Make the standby lines a little more reasonable at times. It might be an issue on some of the most crowded days at the park. But I always felt that Fastpass only really worked on the normal to busy days. You don't need it on the slow days (with a couple of exceptions) and it is too darn chaotic to function well on the mega busy holiday times. I actually had a lot more spontaneity in my schedule prior to Fastpass. No Fastpass system is the true liberty, freedom and spontaneous choice!
