What happened to the parks webcams? They used to have them all over each park.

I was actually wondering the same thing. I used to enjoy checking them out!

Heard they were too costly and they kept breaking down. With the political climate they way it is I don't think they will be back in each park. Too much of a security risk.

someone once mentioned on here that it was taken down because it became too easy for competitors to track flow of guests in the park. Universal took their's down for the same reason.

No idea if that true or not

I probably would have guessed security reasons. But it's not like anyone couldn't go around the parks with a video camera.

I really miss them. Primarily because I could sit in my office and let my mind drift ahead to a visit. It was easy to connect and see a parade crawling down Main Street or see the sun shining at Epcot.

Considering what the webcams showed (next to nothing with poor resolution), its hard to see how any information, secure or business related, could be collected. I guess even paranoids have enemies.

I’m just sorry that I can’t, on a bad day or when I want to image a trip, click on the cams and get a glimpse of what its like at WDW.
