Hey, just got back from my 2 1/2 week trip at disney world and have to say that there are a lot of things going on down there. Just to make things simple i will go through each park and then the outside.
Magic Kingdom: Nothing really new to report. All of the Cinderrellabration shows have been going pretty well for the most part with all of the audience enjoying the show. Stitches Great Escape was running pretty well also with only one room still operational from what i saw and the other one apperead to still be down. MainStreet USA was getting a little work done on some of the side alley buildings but really nothing that will affect anything just regular clean up.
Epcot: Soarin' appears to be the most popular of the attractions over there as it should be with some wait times being up to 75 minutes. The ride is having some technical diffuculties as usual for new rides but nothing really hendering it. Also the land pavilion looks great and the pics don't do it any justice. The Seas pavilion also looks pretty nice with the finding nemo stuff around, and a lot of people were seeing the new Turtle Talk which is pretty interesting but can be missed if need be in my eyes. The Wonders of Life pavilion was still closed but the structures around the giant helix were down so the painting job is done and looks pretty nice. I did try to get info out of some of the CMs but they would not say anything about it being either closed permanently or just closed seasonally. Also talked to some of the CMs about Spaceship Earth being closed and some said it would be closed for renovations but that as far as they would go.
MGM: Lights Motors Action is one of the best shows that i think disney has ever done. Everybody loved the show and the house was packed each time. Bear in mind when you go the most shows they had per day from what i saw was about six so make sure you plan to see at least one. New York Street is also getting a new name, now it will be called the Streets of America because of all the additional backgrounds, San Fransisco and Chicago. The Backlot Tour is also a tad shorter because of the homes being taken out, meaning that the wait line is shorter, but if you liked the homes they are no more. The Magic of Disney Animation building has also changed greatly with a new area for you to computer animate characters, paint cells on a computer, and also meet characters, and the meet the animator has been taken out. Personally they should have kept the meet the animator and also some of the other animators there. Used to like it a lot now i don't.
Animal Kingdom: Really nothing new to report. Expidition Everest is still growning and getting closer to being done. And I have to tell you that ride is going to be massive and great, can't wiat. Lucky the Dino has been coming out a great deal and the crowd loved him. I was shocked by the amount of work that went into him and he does look as real as they say he does.
Disney World Resorts:
rehabs-
Yacht and Beach Club- outside is being repainted and also the lighthouse is being repainted
Boardwalk- Lumber is being replaced on the boardwalk with a large area being done near Jellyroles
Swan and Dolphin- Both buildings are still being repainted with most work being done on the swan
For you DVC owners news around has it that both Port Orleans French Quarter and the garden rooms at the Contemporary will be converted into DVC resort rooms. Saratogo Springs is also in its second stage of building with some more buildings nearly done. The Bonnet Creek Resort may is also in limbo right now it appears as another resort has taken the name and so that means either disney might change the resorts name or do halt construction for now, but i don't know the details fully about that just heard it from a DVC attendent.
Around the World: road construction is being done around the resort and also heed the warnings about the police watching for speeders because they are out there catching them.
Last Bit: The new monorail gates have yet to be added to EPCOT and are also being added to the direct magic kingdom line.
