From the Orlando Sentinel:
Don't expect Roy at protest
Walt Disney World's largest group of unionized workers, the Service Trade Council, has planned a "candlelight vigil" tonight to protest stalled contract negotiations with the company. The two sides are battling over a number of issues, including pay hikes, medical insurance, overtime and pension benefits. The talk among workers last week was that Roy Disney, of SaveDisney fame, might show up in support of the rank and file. No chance, a SaveDisney spokesman said. Disney was traveling out of the country. Besides, the spokesman said, it would be "inappropriate" for Walt Disney's nephew to get involved in the negotiaons. The vigil is scheduled from 5 to 7 pm at the Radisson Resort Worldgate in Kissimmee.
