WDW Ticket Books

So, I was going through some old Disney items that I received from my grandparents after their passing and came across a bunch of WDW Disney Ticket books. I was wondering if anyone here could help me date these items? I am curious of their possible value (not really planning on selling these right now). But any information would be greatly appreciated. :)

Oh, I have included an old phone image as well, just for grins!

Wow - those are a lot of unused tickets. Anyone have a "way back machine" so we can go ride some rides?!

The D ticket indicates Flight to the Moon as one of the rides - that was open (thanks Google!) December 24th, 1971 through closed April 15th, 1975 so it has to be within that timeframe.

Good catch! I had not considered looking into the dates of the rides! :) The close up E-ticket image actually has two different tickets with a different list of rides. Thank you for the response.

No - thank YOU for giving me something that is in reality meaningless but to me fascinating to occupy my time for the rest of the day!

I'm intrigued by the Magic Key coupons - apparently they cam after the A-E ticket books but before the World Passport ticket.

Wow! That's quite a collection. My mom has a few in her scrapbooks from her early to mid 70s trips.

Interesting! Wasn't sure it was along the lines of say a Mickey Mantle rookie card.
Unfortunately no. Since they had value and people always intended to eventually use them, a large number got put away in drawers and filing cabinets and forgotten about. That resulted in a fairly large number of good to mint condition samples being in the market. Big supply plus low demand equals reasonable price.

I myself found half a dozen ticket books from the early 70's in just this manner after my mom passed away. I kept a couple for myself and framed the rest and gave them to friends that would appreciate them.

The looks on their faces was worth way more than the $20 I would have gotten on ebay.

Agree, somethings just have more valuable being kept! Not as cool as old tickets, but I framed a Disney Dollar for the memories.

If you want to unload the booklets someday go to guest relations just outside the gates of the Magic Kingdom.
They will put a trade in value for park tickets the same way they do for the non expiring tickets we've had hanging around the house.

When my DS was going down to do the college program he had a day before he was inducted and he was staying on property 2 nights so he had a full day to spend in the parks. I gave him a child's admission multi day hopper ticket with one day left on it. He went to guest relations and they converted the ticket to a guest relations one day park hopper ticket for him. The funny part is his 5 day hopper child ticket cost less total than the current rate for a one day adult ticket into the MK.

So if you turn them in a couple at a time you can likely receive many days in exchange at WDW. A much greater return than selling them on eBay.

Imagine trying to link one of those admission tickets to MDE...

It's really interesting looking at the E tickets, wow they were sparse near park opening weren't they? Mickey Mouse Revue, IASW, Jungle, Tiki, Subs, Mansion...that means they predate Pirates! What a great item to have, I'd definitely hang onto them.

I don't know much about the original tickets, but, I know that phone is completely awesome. I've been looking for an actual rotary version for years for my mother...they are pretty rate a with good wood base and over all great condition....very nice!
