WDW Super Fan Problems

They are like 1st world problems but WDW specific.

I'm on a mommy group on Facebook for parents planning Disney trips. The last 3 weeks has given me nothing but a constant stream of self pity posts from moms not realizing they needed to make park reservations for their trip. Their spring break trip. That they just now started planning and actually expected there to be reservations left to the parks, the restaurants and everything else. For Spring Break!!!! 🙀 I'm sorry but even at normal capacity that would be laughable. My WDW super fan problem is how annoying people like this are and how frustrating it is to have to listen to them.

What other stuff sends you over the edge as a super fan. It doesn't just have to be about Disney newbies or one time trippers. Anything that bugs you as a Disney Stan (stalker/fan) is game.

I would agree with you and say lack of planning. It really irks me. People just don't research. You need a reservation for EVERYTHING since Covid, so how they could not be aware of this is beyond me.
Agreed. The need for park reservations isn't even something one would have to research: it's prominently communicated before and during the ticket purchase process.

Still, even if these women are in a mess of their own making, I think Disney would be well served by doing something to accommodate them (by helping them change their ticket dates, or if necessary, refunding the ticket prices if the tickets were purchased directly from Disney and the trip cannot be rescheduled). My reasoning is: Disney knows how many tickets have been sold for a given day, and it knows how many park passes are available for non-AP holders. If there are multiple people who happen to be on the same Facebook group who've all been left with tickets they can't use because all the park passes for their dates are taken, it stands to reason that there's been an incredibly significant amount of "overselling" on Disney's part. Just as an airline that "bumps" a passenger due to overselling a flight is obligated to send the passenger on the next available flight or compensate them, I think Disney is obligated to assist these hapless would-be vacationers.

[Sorry for that off-topic comment above], but to answer the OP's actual question (what sends me over the edge), it's when people come back from a Disney vacation and complain about things that required no insider knowledge or vacation guides, but should have been obvious before they ever went, like: "it was too hot [in Florida in the summertime]," or "there were crowds of other people there [where millions visit every year]," or most memorably, as one family in our church put it, "we didn't like Disney World: it's just that it was all rides and shows and meeting Disney characters, and our family has never really been interested in any of those things." :banghead:

People who THINK they know what they’re talking about when it comes to Disney but you actually know otherwise. 🙄

And if you’re spending that much money on a vacation you should’ve done your homework. Plus, it’s all over the website. Read everything people! 🤦🏼‍♀️

We plan well in advance and encourage those who ask us about Disney to do the same. Even when we tell them that a WDW trip, especially now is different than all other trips, they dont take it seriously enough. Besides park days, the dining situation is also an issue being compromised by the removal of table seating. Reservations for restaurants that are open are booking up.
Another thing that bugs me that they ignore is trying to warn about how vital it is to get to parks early, beating long waits, preplanning your way around the parks, knowing how to best use the Disney transportation and having to budget enough money to give you the trip you want to enjoy. 99% of the failed trips and the unhappy guests who complain about everything when they come home falls on their stupidity that could have been avoided.
