when i was in disney world last december i noticed that the roger e brogie one of the 4 stem trans wasnt running when i asked a couple cms workin at the stations they told me that when it was in rehab the coal car on the train only had one wheel touching the track

does neone no if this is true

The Roger E. Broggie was recently refurbished and was rededicated back in October. I don't know exactly what this entailed, but I think they were doing this to all the engines one at a time.

I would think that since you were there a couple of months after its rededication that it would have been in great shape, but who knows?

Just wanted to add that it was busy enough at the park today for them to run 3 trains. Once again, the Roger E. Broggie was the one left out. Hmm...

Actually, each year, they take one of the four trains out of service and give it a complete overhaul - top to bottom. That way, every 4 years, each train gets worked over, completely. It keeps them in tip-top shape.

It would not surprise me that Roger was missing wheels - since they have a iron shop back in the roundhouse and actually re-make parts that are worn. The wheels wear down fast, especially the inside ones, because the trains are constantly turning right, and leaning that way.

So, to answer your question, I'm sure it is true - and next year it will be true for another engine, and so on.

it wasnt missing wheels its just one wheel that stuck lower

they found out because only one wheel was worn down when it was in rehab
