WDW Sales Manager

I currently work as a travel agent and I sell just about anywhere anyone wants to go. I consider myself the WDW expert in the office and love when I get to plan vacations with guests.
We have a WDW rep that will stop in every now and then and fill us in on the newest things. This is something I would love to do. I believe they're District Sales Managers. I was wondering if anyone knew how one would apply for this type of role.
Thanks a lot!

I did a quick search for that online and it looks like to obtain that job you'd need to keep an eye on the Disney job board. You could also try reaching out to a couple of them on LinkedIn! Sometimes you can get a reply back :)

Just curious - why do you feel that you would love to do that job? What do you believe their job responsibilities are?

It seems like (from their post) what sounds appealing is being in-the-know about some of the newest offerings for WDW, and possibly insider tips?

Also, @OliveMcFly being the office specialist for WDW sounds awesome! I would love to be a WDW travel agent :) I love planning vacations (whether mine or for friends or family!) I used to be a Cast Member at a Disney Store and I loved being able to create the magic for others -- I feel that's what a Disney travel agent does as well! I hope you are able to find the answers you are looking for!

That's a good question and I'll be honest and say I don't know of everything they do. I do have the understanding that travel between multiple states is involved. We have a lot of Sales people for all companies coming in who do similar jobs.
When I say I would love to do the job it's because I love Disney and having a conversation about the parks has never been an issue for me. In fact, I think some clients are very overwhelmed after we talk about a WDW vacation.
Are you familiar with the job? Are you able to fill me in on more of their job duties? I'd like to learn more.

That's pretty much what it comes down to. I was a Entertainment CM for 7 years and made a lot of magic. Being able to make more magic would be a wonderful job. I love being surrounded by Disney and they say if you love your job you'll never work a day in your life.

7 years!! That is awesome! :) And I know exactly what you mean ... I love this forum because I feel at home since there are others who also eat, sleep, breathe, and dream Disney! The magic is the best part and I hope you keep getting to make magic every day somehow! :) I have a non-Disney related full time job now, but I find when I get home I hop on the forums or start searching the web for all the Disney stuff I could find. Being surrounded by Disney is the best :inlove:

I've been the owner of a Disney-focused travel agency since 2004 and have dealt with various DSMs over the years. I will send you a PM.
