WDW "Roomates:" Where to find them?

Hello everyone. So I'm already preparing for my first solo trip, (first trip that isn't with family) which is a few years away. (Around the time I graduate high school) While I want to splurge, I know that isn't going to be easy, even when I start saving up money now, due to the ever-increasing prices. So I was wondering: Is there a good way for people who want a WDW "roommate," or someone they can share their trip with and split the cost? I've heard of people doing stuff like this, and would like to do the same.

EDIT: Now I know not to go with strangers. Thanks guys.

craigslist.org What could go wrong?

No, don't. Really.
So, if you are in high school, you will need someone to legally rent out a hotel.
I don't know what the age is these days, but 18 might not be old enough. Start there.
Your best bet is to find other people your age with the same idea, meet in person, as adults, and go from there.
Sharing a hotel room with a stranger is not recommended.
In europe, they have youth hostels. Yes, hostel with an "st" in the middle There are some in the US, but not nearly as many.

This is after I turn 18. But you do have good points.

^^^ It seems to be what a lot of antipodes use to find travel mates for (part of) their big European trip they do about your age. At least a few I met.

Pref meet before, have a back-up plan. Find somebody young and fun, your age. The weirdos are the old people. As somebody the wrong side of forty, take it from me, we grow weird, cranky and nasty.

If you've got some friends who would be down, road trip with them and find an inexpensive Airbnb. That way you are not relying on strangers for companionship and to split the cost of the trip. There are just too many dishonest people on the internet. Your intentions are pure and I love what you're trying to do here, but there are too many creeps on the internet.

...if you like bedbugs.
Read the reviews. Two of the three are rated quite highly. I have stayed in hostels all over Europe and the US, many of which were set up like hotel rooms. Never had an issue with bedbugs or cleanliness. But that's because I read the reviews. ;)
