Hey everyone, I read on intercot.com that now through June 22 or so, that the price for a moderate resort room is down to 94$. Can anyone confirm this at all? Also, if your trip goes past this cutoff date, do you still pay the discount rate, or do those nights left, return to normal? I really need to know, its very important. Also, are there any Disney Store employees out there? I need to know what kind of benefits you recieve if you are a castmember at the store. I've heard you get in free to all the parks, and receive a certan % off on rooms at the resorts. What kind of %?Anyone shed some light on this? Also do Disney Store Castmembers receive any other free passes? I heard they receive them once or twice a year, around summer or so? Maybe this is wrong, any and all information in this area would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I used to be a Disney Store castmember. I am not sure if things have changed in the two years since I worked there, but this is how it went when I was there:
Part time cm get no health benefits or paid holidays or vacations. You do qualify for sick leave and maternity leave, but it is not paid. They also get free passes to the Disney parks. I believe it was twice a year (July and December). The number of passes you got depended on how many dependents you had and whether you were full time or not. I had no dependents and I was part time. I got four passes a year. Two at x-mas and two in July. If I wanted to purchase more passes I got a nice dicount. They also had an extensive resort discount program. You could get 50% off the rooms, but you often had to wait to book your room 30 days before your trip. Often, CM booked the All-Stars and then waited for the discounts to come up and changed their reservations to another resort if they wanted to at that point. YOu got the MKC now called the Disney Club for free, so that automatically gave you a nice discount, even on the All-Stars. I do not recalled being given any other free passes. Oh, wait. we did get free passes to the latest Disney animated movie every June. Only two passes per CM.
As for the $94 moderate rate. Yes, that is true and if you book your trip for a day beginning during the sale, you can stay after the sale is over for the same discounted rate.
You know, you can call CRO and they will answer all these rate/discount etc. questions for you very nicely:)
