WDW Photo Pass

I didnt see anything on this in the forum but why does WDW not have ride images available to be saved on the Photo Pass? That would be great if they could have it work that way. It would definantly make it easier on buying the pictures. I love the WDW Photo Pass and it made it so much easier. I checked this morning and all our images were up there.

That would be cool, but it might cause a bit of congestion. All the people coming off rides would be lingering around at the ride photo counters to swipe the photo pass cards.

Also I imagine this would not be a profitable move. Now I'm just speculating, but I'm guessing that most people who had their photos taken in the parks prior to photopass never took time out of their day to go back and look at the pictures later on. But now that they are viewable online probably most people view their photos once they get home, therefore increasing sales.

But with the ride photos, you can see them right there on the screen as you leave the attraction. It only takes a moment to decide if you want to purchase or not. If you don't purchase, you won't be able to see the picture again, so that's a good incentive to make the purchase. But if Disney posted ride photos online then it would just cause people to not purchase the photos since they'd be able to look at them anytime. Does that make sense?

Again, this is all speculation.

I just think it would be easier to view the images at home... there were always crowds around the image when we werel ooking at getting one. Also, later in the day we regretted not getting one that we were thinking about. Photo Pass would have allowed us to revisit it with out a problem.

Heading for the great escape.
Its not easier to look at the images at home if they loose them, its then too late to go for it again. (till next year that is :) )

Buzz Lightyear in Disneyland allows you to email the photos to yourself currently (although it is not linked to the PhotoPass system, so the photos just arrive in your inbox and are not with your other vacation photos). It is cool, though, because it also puts your score next to you.

I think the reason they don't/haven't offered ride photo's in the PhotoPass system is that they are trying to capitalize on the impulse buying after an exhilarating ride on... say, ToT. You don't have the same excitement 2-4 weeks after riding as you do when you exit the elevator.

Just my 2 cents.

I still would love to see it on PhotoPass since you can make them into Christmas cards or borders and sorts. The PhotoPass options are just cool.
