WDW Monorail Model

Hey, does anybody know if there is anyplace you can buy these Monorail sets other than in WDW? I mean, can you get them at the Disney Store, or any toy store? I was surprised to see that disneystore.com doesn't have them anymore. Does this mean maybe sometime soon we'll be getting a new color? Or red again?

Down in south florida (sawgrass mills actually) there is a Disney Store that only sells old merchandice from the theme parks...I dont know if they have anything like that near you..but they DO have the monorail sets there...

Yeah ive seen that store in Sawgrass NowInc. When i went to WDW last week i fell in love with all these new theme park merchandise Disney is making (Monorail set, California Screamin, Epcot, Contemporary, Die Cast models of RNRC train, die cast Test Track car, Safari vehicle, etc etc) its nice to see new and original merchandice like this. I personally have a nice die cast model of the RNRC train sitting on my bookshelf

I saw the Monorail set and the WDW Train set at our local Disney Store here near Chicago. (Woodfield Mall) My wife and I were Christmas shopping and when we walked into the Disney Store they were everywhere. It might be that they were just a Christmas season item..not sure..I haven't been back there since.
I'd call your local Disney Store or check The Disney Store website. Good luck!!:)

I also saw a ton of those monorail sets and extra track at our local store in Raleigh. They were there right after Chrstmas also.

I could be incorrect, but I swear I saw them in an issue of the Disney catalog within the past couple of months.

you could get one by going to your local disney store... which since you live in pittsburgh would probably ross park mall with the Disney Play store in it... aahhhh I cant wait to visit that store this weekend... but... monroeville mall, westmoreland mall, but not the new mall at robinson! i was very dissapointed that they had no disney store there. i mean i was VERY dissapointed... how dumb SUCH A HUGE MALL but no disney store... :0( they should have them located near the registers... and if they dont ask a cast member and they will be happy to get you one through the mail. we get them in the mail all the time because we usually order stuff through there.

Hmm, and I'm suprised Robinson doesn't have one. Geez, it's supposed to have like everything, right? Ohh well, maybe it will come in time.

Also one last thing, does anybody know when the new yellow monorail will be released?

The NEW Yellow Monorails are all over Disney Property NOW! I was in the stores around Chrismas and they were all Black, went back Last week and now they are ALL Yellow - STRANGE. I did find A Black one at the Yatch Club. It seems they are releasing ONE color per year, and then discontinuing the previous color. also a bit of Trivia - the Original Monorails were FIVE cars at Walt Disney World and in the Early Eightys were converted to SIX cars.
I wonder if in the future if they will sell adder cars, or just start over with SIX car trains and reintroduce the colors again like they do with videos.

I wonder if WDW will ever get a blue one since DL has already had it. More importantly, I wonder how many years it will be until we see coral or lime. :)

I have heard people talk about seeing a blue one here at WDW, but I had dismissed it as them seeing a Black one in the blue box and the room lighting making them think it was blue. i only heard this about this time last year, when the RED was phasing out and the Black was coming in. If it was really a blue one they saw, it must have come from a DL shipment as a mistake. "Monorail Lime" have you actually seen a BLUE monorail, and if so what COLOR blue was it, Light Blue or Dark Blue? I'm planning on getting all of the colors myself to Display. Any body seen any other colors besides RED, BLACK, and YELLOW, with there own eyes?
