I just got back from Disney and as always I had an amazing time!
For the 4th we decided to go to MGM Studios to see the fireworks because we have never seen fireworks over the hat before. Though the show was a little shorter then expected it was just as wonderful as every other disney fireworks display I've ever seen!! It also wasn't too crowded in that park, we pretty much walked right onto everything and my family got fp's for tot and rrc.
Okay, so here are some of my reviews:
1.) Lights Motors Action-
I really enjoyed the show but the waiting area wasn't planned out well at all! We lined up for the show 45 min in advance and there was already a huge line for it. When we got inside the waiting area below the bleachers it was hot and people were pushing and being very rude, afraid that someone else was going to get one inch ahead of them.
We had to wait in there for about 20 mins which seemed a lot longer (during this time some people started chanting 'let us in'... then when they finally let us go a TON of people started going under the chain which lead to a lot of yelling, screaming and pushing in that small area. I caught the last show of the day which now I realise was a bad idea but I figured that since it was during the parade less people would go... though I liked the show I won't do it again unless they change around the waiting area for it.
2.) Soarin
This has to be one of my new favorite rides!!!! I just loved it. I really didn't understand what the big hype was for, it didn't really seem that interesting but boy was I wrong! I ended up giggling through the whole film because I was just that entertained by the whole experience! I loved it so much we got fastpasses and did it again the next morning. The only thing I don't like is that the wait is insane! 75mins w/o fastpasses! Even when we did get the fastpass we waited 30mins...
3.) Stitch's Great Escape
I got on this when it first opened and didn't like it at all and I'm a stitch fan! My friend had never been on it and wanted to. It was Extra Magic Hrs in the park and no line at all, we walked right into the building. I must say that the show seemed longer this time, and it was more enjoyable. It still didn't feel like Stitch was right behind me though, I think there was still too much lighting.
4.) Updated Pirates
We got to ride on the 6th and there was hardly any wait at all! I LOVED everything about it!!!! The people on the boat in front of me were trying to figure out if the Jack AA was a real person. He looked so good. I wasn't crazy about Barbossa but Jack was the one I was more interested in!
The DJ effect was also really cool!!!
5.) Maelstorm
Not really impressive at all... I liked what I thought was the begining of the ride but after the hill it was over.
6.) Less Intense Version of Mission:SPACE
I was exctied that I was finally going to be able to experince this but it gave me a really bad headache and there wasn't even any spinning! This isn't a 'must do' for me like Soarin will be, but if my family or friends want to get on I'll do it. I guess with all the hype when the ride first opened I was expecting more.
Overall I had an amazing time! Great parades, wonderful dining experiences, fun character interactions, amazing pirate pins and lots of good scrapbooking pictures!!
