Getting to the parks early will help you beat the summer crowds. Plan for some relaxing time in the afternoon, whether at a nearby resort, going back to your own, or sitting in the shade in the park. Invest in a poncho from the Dollar Store at home. Have a wonderful time!

My friend and I went last year from July 3 to the 6th. While its hot - as long as you have hopper passes (we stayed off site as well) its very doable. MK will easily take 2 days and you may want to repeat things. AK/HS almost can be done same day. Epcot you may want to devote one day but even we were able to do the entire park (both sides) by mid day and leave and return to HS in the evening.

If this is your first trip, hopefully you've done a bit of prep work and have somewhat of a game plan in terms of what parks to visit on what days based on hours, and what attractions you don't want to miss, and where you plan to eat any table-service meals. Like others have said, get to all parks well before opening so when the rope drops, you can get many attractions done bfore the crowds arrive and before the full heat of the day.

You can save some money in the heat by not buying water bottles; any counter-service location will be happy to give you a free cup of ice water.
