Wdw honeymoon

Congratulations! Nothing like a Disneymoon. :inlove:

You can tell Disney you're celebrating your honeymoon and you'll get Happily Ever After pins at check-in. (Or you can pick them up from Guest Services at the parks). We noted that it was our honeymoon on our dining reservations and got a few extra desserts/dessert toppings at some locations. It really just depends. But mainly, enjoy being there together and many guests and cast members alike will congratulate and celebrate you!

It's best to manage expectations when you're celebrating. You may receive some perks or recognition, but we're no longer in the days of automatic free desserts and champagne and room upgrades just for honeymooning. Wear the buttons or the bride and groom "ears", and you'll get a lot of warm congratulations from other guests and cast members. It can be very sporadic, though. I know another Disney bride who was very upset that when she and her husband were celebrating their honeymoon at Le Cellier, her server didn't acknowledge her, but did bring a free dessert to the just engaged couple at the next table. You're setting yourself up for disappointment if you expect or request special treatment.

Don't ASK for extras. That's tacky and you'll embarrass yourself.

Buy bride and groom hats and/or t-shirts. They'll make you feel special. We got free champagne and custom menus at Citricos, loads of free deserts, and a few free ice creams / bottled drinks.

You can count on getting what you paid for. Sometimes you will get something extra given to you by a resort CM or a CM in the park but thats because you caught them in a moment when for some reason they wanted to make your trip more magical. It doesnt happen to everyone, so just enjoy your trip and if it happens, you were lucky. With so many thousands of b-days, engagements, anniversaries, honeymoons being celebrated every day at WDW, like the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes, .... you may be chosen. On one of our trips the resort staff at POFQ surprised DW and me with an anniversary figurine, totally unexpected.
