Hi all,

Just a very quick query, I have searched forums to find an answer - but no luck yet.

We are considering registering on the WDW Honeymoon Registry, but is it open to non-US residents? UK in particular. I only ask, as online its only available in $.

Also, those who have used it - how did you find the experience in using it?

Thanks for any/all answers!

My DH and I used it following our recent wedding (October 07) and it was great! Easy to register, information and card arrived through the post very quickly, no problem adding or removing items, easy for guests to use (assuming they remember you have to convert to £££!).

Once in resort the card could be used freely and it was a lovely way of talking about the wedding as we were asked about it many times and also received lots of congratulations (we did find many cast members had not come across it before!)

We took pictures of us eating the resturant or doing the activity that each wedding guest paid for and then sent them a picture along with the thank you card - that went down really well with guests!

Highly recommended!

Don't forget your 'honeymoon' badges too, ask for them when you check in - we got a free desert at Teppan Edo and a free drink from a cart at MGM (as it was then!) and loads of congrats from cast members and other guests!!! We also got a signed congrats card from Mickey and Minnie and a balloon in our room on our 2nd day.

ps Congratulations!

Just a minor update for anyone who read this - we have now set-up our registry!

Its really was easy to start, and a lot of fun choosing your items on it, and in next few hours I get to make some ADR's - really starting to get exciting!:sohappy:

Cool! Enjoy the excitement when you receive emails telling you a gift has been purchased!!!

I love those moments! I haven't had too many yet but we're getting married in April so they should start coming in soon.

I found the whole process great. The brilliant CM's helped me with a couple of registration issues and they also added our second hotel to the list which you can't do yourself (we are splitting our stay between AKL and WL).

It's really important to remember to register your card on your website when you receive it or no-one will be able to give you anything.

There is also a $1500 limit on the card so if it looks like your going to exceed that, start spending! I'm not sure we will reach it though as many people have told us they will give us cheques which is bascially the same thing (although much less fun).

Who are you flying with? If its virgin then make sure you tell them that you are on your honeymoon and they will make a note of it for your flight (might not get anything but I suppose there is a chance of an upgrade!)

Yeah Philo, its Virgin we are flying with - we have already had the fact we are on honeymoon put on our reservation as a footnote :animwink:

I think we will be the same with the receiving of cheques etc, a few members of the family don't quite get the appeal of it as much as we do!!

UKHelen - thanks for your advice before once again, will keep you all updated as we go!
