WDW Easter Parade on TV?

Probably when they stopped having them! AFAIK, they no longer have an Easter Parade or if they do, they don't publicize it much anymore. They already do up one Christian Holiday up in quite a grand fashion and the guests of Disney parks are not all Christian. The mere fact that Christianity is a huge minority in the world would tend to make a lot of people completely uninterested in an Easter Themed Parade. Christmas is to big to ignore as a social happening, Easter is much closer to strictly a religious one, if you can get past the chocolate eggs and Easter bunny.

I thought my original post was a fairly innocuous question, but...yikes...this seems to be a sore subject for you, and I’m not really sure why.

First of all, they do still do a Easter parade. It’s just not televised any more. (Hence my original question.)

Yes, they already “do up one Christian holiday,” but is there a quota on holiday celebrations at the parks? Yes, guests of the park are not all Christian, but that doesn’t mean we cannot acknowledge the fact that there is a major holiday going on. If you’re not Christian, don’t go to the Easter parade or the Christmas celebration. Easter is one day out of the year. No one is suggesting they celebrate it a month or two in advance, like Christmas or Halloween.

Finally, do you really think Christianity is a “huge minority” in the world? 🤔

But WDW is in America, where Christianity is the majority religion. By far.

Yes, there are international visitors. But the majority of park guests are American.

Look it up, it certainly is and it is not even the second most popular.

As for the rest, OK, so they still have it, but, they have daily activities at the place that they don't televise. I'll take your word that they still have it, because I don't care enough to research it. And yes, there should be a limit of how one sided a public place becomes if they are relying on the world population to support them. It's pretty simple.. Think about the feelings of others because that is what I remember, being taught Christianity, is supposed to be about and stop trying to ram it down everyone's throat. Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker had a religious Theme park, how did that work out for them?

I believe this country was founded on religious freedom, so you might want to check those number. I don't think it is prominent as you think it is. I'm not even sure that the majority of WDW guests are American (as in USA citizens), it is a world wide resort and gets boatloads of people from Europe, Asia, So. America, Australia and the middle east.

Recent figures suggest 75% of Americans self report as Christian.

And seeing an Easter parade (you know, with Easter bunnies, not Jesus characters) does not constitute a breach of religious freedom.

And would you suggest I visit a Muslim country and expect them to tone down their religious holidays?

Again, we’ve taken an innocuous topic and made it message board debate fodder. Let’s put this to rest.

Was the parade televised in the past? Yes

Is it televised now? No.

Is asking about why the parade isn’t televised any more me “ignoring the feelings of others”? No.

Is having an Easter parade one day out of the year forcing religion down people’s throats? No.

Will people stop coming to Disney World because there is an Easter parade one day a year? No.

Would I be offended if there were a Passover celebration or Ramadan festivities? No, of course not.

Do you realize how ridiculous you sound comparing Disney to the Bakkers? Apparently, no.

Does this topic strike a nerve with you because of some underlying hostility you have toward Christianity and/or organized religion? Yes.

Is Christianity the most widely practiced in the world? Yes. I looked it up.
