WDW drastically extends MK APRIL HOURS!!!!

The Magic Kingdom park hours for the week before and after Easter have been greatly extended. The MK will basically open at 8:30 AM and close at midnight. This is an increase of anywhere from 90 min to 3 and half hours of park hours for the MK.
In addition, there will be 2 spectros every night, as apposed to one. The FRI and Sat before Easter, howerver will have 11pm closings.

So anyway, GOOD NEWS all around, as the park was going to be closing at 9 and 10 most nights.

WWW. DISNEY.COM has the new hours, but Disney extended them a few days back.

This is a good example why people shouldn't panic when the hours first come out. They usually start very conservative and then lengthen even at the last minute.

One day we found out that the MK was going to be open an extra 2 hours on the way there - our bus driver told us

Wow. I definitely want to know what kind of numbers they are projecting for the Magic Kingdom to be able to justify that many midnight closings. This is definitely a great thing, and whoever fought for those hours in park operations has my respect.

Great news....................but I think that your maths is a little out.
When Aprils hours first appeared on the web site (Feb 11th) the Easter fortnight was basically 0900 - 2300hrs. With the increases posted on the web site now opening is 30mins earlier and closing 60mins later EACH DAY - so not sure where you get 3.5hrs from:veryconfu

50,000 to 55,000 a day, near 60,000 on Easter and Easter Monday, on the days they close at 11pm, look for high 40,000

and now you know

when I first saw Easter week hours they were 11, like you said on sat sun mon and tues of Easter week, but the rest were 10pm, and there was at least one day that was 9pm.

i stand corrected, i just checked my source and there was no 9pm closings at all, but there were about 4, 10pm closings. So, im sorry, MK extends hours by 2.5 hours, not 3.5.

Hey - don't worry about it, you've posted a lot of useful bits of information recently (for which we're all grateful) and I just couldn't work out where the your maths figures came from.

I hate Math, always did, I wish there was classes at college about Disney trivia, and not Cal and Physics. I would have done so much better.
