WDW Bus line

Hello,

I am going to be staying at the All Star Movie Resort during our trip in March, and, since we'll be relying on the WDW buses, I was just wondering what the routes were for hte All Stars. We usually stay at the Caribbean and the bus system has, for the most part, been pretty efficient (as long as you get on at the right stop to get a seat!:p ), I've read that the All Star bus route goes to all three (Cinema, Melody, and Stadium Halls), but I'm not sure if that information is up to date.

Can someone who has recently stayed or visited these resorts please let me know if the one line goes to all three?

Also, if you can remember, what the pickup order was? We're trying to judge how crowded the bus will be by the time it reaches the All Star Movies Resort.

Thank you!!

I don't know what order they go in but they do pick up guests from all 3 all stars sometimes. I have gotten on buses at the Music and they went straight to the parks. Its weird and I haven't figured out how it works yet. :veryconfu

Stayed at Movies 12/29-1/5.

Pick up and drop off was Sports, Music, Movies.

Exception was for MK. Each All Stars had their own bus for MK.

If you are near the front of the line when the seats are gone and you don't want to stand just wait for the next bus.

It usually depends on how busy it is...for example, at Christmas, with the large crowds, each All Star will have its own bus, but in January its just not necessary so one bus will stop at all 3 resorts.

In the mornings (pre 11am), each All-Star typically gets its own bus for each theme park... as demand warrants.

Post 11am, theme parks convert to a hub central dispatch, and DAK, Epcot and Studios combine the All-Stars. MK will usually always have them split.

As for which resort gets serviced first... Sports gets to be the first stop more times than not... HOWEVER... there are a lot of busses that work backwards... particularly during the busy times. So Movies also gets its shot at being first.

Fantasia Boi would know best. But when we went in May we stayed at Movies and we never shared a bus w/ music/sports. Even when we were going back and forth in the mid day we had our own bus.
I highly recommend the Dalmation Bldg or Toy Story Bldg. you don't have to pay extra for those sections (like you do for Fantasia) and they are close to the pools, laundry, food court, buses etc.

Wow - thanks for all your help, guys! :)

Dwarf - I've never stayed at the Movies before - you say Toy Story or Dalmations? When would you suggest requesting that? I believe in the past when we've requested sections at the Caribbean we did it when we made our reservations and then mentioned it again at check-in, but what do you think?

And, since I'm firing off the questions :p , why is Fantasia extra cost?

Thanks again for the help!

Fantasia costs more because it has "water views" aka the pool. In Music, Calypso is the same. I'm not sure which building it is for the Sports resort though.

In regards to transportation Fantasia Boi has the best explaination. Staying at Movies, there have been times we've had our own buses and times we have shared. Alot of this does depend on the crowds and such.

If you made the reservations I would suggest calling and requesting the building you want. In 2001 we stayed at Movies 3 times and the first two I was able to get where I wanted at the check in counter, the last trip I ended up in the sticks. We prefer the Toy Story building. We drive when we go and the parking lot is close (good for hauling stuff back and forth), not too far not too close to the pool and food court.

The view has nothing to do with it...

They cost more because they are the closest the resorts main facilities (pool, food court, check in, etc...)

well, when we went in May. I called about 10 days before hand. Then I called again the day of our flight and said we would be arriving late and I wanted to make sure we weren't going to end up out in the boondocks.
We were in Dalmation Bldg. #1. It is comparable to the Toy Story section. Dalmation is on onside of the mainhall (food court, buses, check in etc.) Toy Story is on the other side. Fantasia is straight behind it.
we were happy with Dalmation as it had close parking (for the few days we had a rental van), it was close (but not noisey) to both the Fantasia pool and Mighty Ducks pool..both laundrys, the buses, food court etc.
Our kids really liked spending some time walking around seeing all the different themes as well.
