WDW bus background music

I was trying to figure out a particular song that is played on the WDW buses on the way to Downtown Disney. Until recently, this was the sixth song that was played after the welcome aboard announcement. Now that the songs pick up from where they left off instead of restarting at the beginning of the loop, the song might be the first or the eighth song, if it is played at all. However, it is always right after "So Sick" by Ne-Yo and right before "Savin' Me" by Nickelback.

(Success! My brother and I passed some time riding the WDW buses tonight and, thanks to two bus drivers who had the audio volume up rather generously, managed to fill that hole, along with two other ones. The list below has now been updated to reflect that.)

I also thought it might be fun to try to put together the complete list of songs on as many routes as we can. Unfortunately, when I e-mailed one of the bus managers to try to obtain the music lists, I was told that they did not have the lists available as the loops were put together by WDI. So, for those of us who are interested, it will be up to us to fill that need. I'll start!

DOWNTOWN DISNEY
U2 featuring Mary J Blige-One
Gnarls Barkley-Crazy
MercyMe-So Long Self
Brad Paisley-The World
Ne-Yo-So Sick
Conjure One-Face The Music
Nickelback-Savin' Me
...
Shakira-Don't Bother
Rihanna-S.O.S. (Rescue Me)
...
KT Tunstall-Black Horse And The Cherry Tree
...
Natasha Bedingfield-Unwritten
...
Carrie Underwood-Don't Forget To Remember Me

The ?s stand for songs that are in the correct order, but that I do not know the name or artist of. The ... is used for gaps where I do not know how many songs I am missing.

Call the switchboard (number's in my sig) and ask to speak to someone at Guest Relations... they should be able to obtain a list somewhere and get back to you. We know from experience they can obtain park music loop lists.

I found some of the music on the bus to be VERY odd. For example, on the way back from the Magic Kingdom one evening, they played the theme music from the "Halloween" movies. What in the world was that all about?

Just play Disney music.

Were you headed back to the Studios, per chance? The music always plays based on where you're going... not where you've been. So if you got on the bus at MK and went back to your hotel, you'd hear music themed to the resort hotel, rather than "it's a small world"

It seemed like the buses for Wilderness Lodge always played western trail riding types of music when we were there in February, didn't seem to matter which park we were going to. We rode the bus to Old Key West to eat Olivias and they were playing a bunch of Jimmy Buffett songs and surfing kind of music. So I just thought they themed the music to the resort. Oh well...

My brother and I decided to pass the time before I went to say bye to two of my friends at Pleasure Island by riding the WDW buses. As a result of our trips and really good luck with our drivers, we were able to hear enough of the lyrics to find out three of the songs that are played on the way to Downtown Disney. The list in the first post of this thread now contains this information.
