The health inspection thing is just untrue 😂 not sure where people get this stuff. NYBP is fabulous. One of the best breweries AND food in central FL.
Here you go.

At the time I posted, I knew about their C and their F and had written them off (especially after getting food poisoning there before knowing about the C & F). However it seems that they got their 💩 together, so go ahead and check it out.

However, I won’t go back. I’ll forgive a lot, but not food poisoning.

Thanks so much to everyone who provided recommendations! Yesterday was the day, we ended up making it to NYBP (beer only, no food just to be safe), Home State and Windemere Brewing. Everything was great, it was a wonderful last day for a wonderful trip.

Which was your favorite place?

They all had plusses. I think overall though Home State was our favorite. It actually reminded us very much of one of our own local breweries, similar vibes and decor.

We did get a tin tacker though at Windermere, which we like to collect so that was exciting.
Good choices.

Home State IMO is the easiest one to get to/from WDW, since it's right off of the 429. However, in a straight line, Windermere Brewing is closest to property - but takes a little longer due to being all surface streets.

They were all pretty easy, I must say. We do a LOT of driving in the name of visiting breweries, so these 20-30 minute trips were nothing.

We actually started our day at City Works to watch some hockey and the bartender was super nice, lots of beer knowledge. He went through all the place we were considering and helped us map an itinerary. Such a nice bonus!

I'll be visiting a friend around Boggy Creek and I'll have enough time and stomach to do 3 breweries. I'm thinking of doing Tactical, Redlight Redlight (been there before, haven't got to try their own beers though), and Sideward. I noticed Rockpit has sidepull pours and lots of different styles. Do you recommend replacing it with one of the original choices?

Also too bad about Deadwords. I was looking forward trying it.

I'd stick to the main three and save Rockpit for a future visit.

Thanks. I'll do GB Bottle shop and Rockpit when I'm back in January.

I'm a Orlando boy (Goldenroad) but living in New England for the last 12 years. All of my family has moved out of Orlando to others parts of FL so it has been theme parks and finding the best P.R restaurant/food trucks types of trips. Solo trips are helping me explore the city again, especially for craft beer.

Best PR restaurant IMO is Crocante.

Thanks. Piñones en Orlando was my all time favorite until they moved to a full fledged restaurant and loved Grillers PR for a few times, but was disappointed when I went last November. Always looking for a good spot so I'll check Crocante next month.

Crocante is elevated PR food by a well regarded chef from the island.

@mkt not sure where you're at locally but have you checked out Celebration Brewing that just opened? I think they're still in soft opening status. I plan on going over there in a week of 2

I haven’t had a chance, but my coworkers went and enjoyed it. They said that everything was a higher ABV than typical for different beers of the same style.

Not a beer drinker but if they have a cider or seltzer I'll be checking those out

If you’re into cider, I will assume you also like (or would like) meads.

Check out Zymarium Meadery on Mills in the Mills/50 neighborhood. It’s amazing.

Wow next time in the area I will look into. I recall Mills/50 was like Little Vietnam with a number of Pho places and other ethnic fare on that strip of Colonial Drive.
