Waterproof HD Camera w/ Good Image Stabilization

Back a few years ago I decided that instead of just taking a ton of stills as I normally do on our trips, I'd take some video. I wanted to be able to capture video in HD and without having to use a "film" camera or something too large. I ended up getting a 1st generation Kodak Zi6 to help me to that end. The size was perfect as was the fact that it captured in HD and used an SD card to do it however the image stabilization was horrid and every minor movement my hand made was picked up by it. Additionally it didn't do that great of a job in low-light situations like dark rides. I got some pretty good video using it but I ended up selling it a year or so ago because I just wasn't that impressed.

So here's what I'm looking for from you wonderful camera experts... some advice! I want to pick up a relatively inexpensive video camera with the following features:
  • Great HD capture (higher fps the better)
  • Great performance in low light
  • Excellent image stabilization (by far my biggest irritant when it comes to video)
  • Ability to take stills at high resolution (5MP or above is fine)
  • Waterproof (not just resistant - I'd like to capture some video in the AoA Nemo pool)
  • SD Card expansion slot or straight SD (no internal memory)
In short... something I can use to capture video on our vacations both indoors, outdoors and under water. :) I know saying "relatively inexpensive" is well, relative, but I don't want to specify a price necessarily because it really depends on how good the camera is as to how much I'm willing to shell out. Thanks!!!

GoPro :)

Seriously. They are damn amazing. Youtube "gopro" and see some of the videos people make with them.
I had a feeling that was going to be the 1st recommendation and in fact it was my 1st consideration. Unfortunately something very odd was going on with their site this morning and I couldn't look into them. Which one of theirs would you recommend?

They really don't have many different "types" of cameras..the Hd and the HD hero 2...id go for the 2 since it will prob last you longer and do more. The other options are all "Accessory" kits depending on what you're looking to do. I know my local target sells them (and all varieties)...

http://gopro.com/cameras/hd-hero2-outdoor-edition/ seems to be the best "all around" version.

Thanks so much for that! I have a feeling based on everything I keep reading there really is no equal to the GoPro series but if anyone has any similar alternatives to share please do!
