Water: Should I buy it, ship it, or use fountains?

All of my previous stays I have always bought my water with snack credits. This year I would actually like to try some snacks with my credits so I am looking for some advice on what other people do to get their drinking water during their stay. I really do not like how the tap water tastes. I was thinking of bringing an extra suitcase and filling it with a case of water. Do you think that would be under the weight restrictions for the plane? I don’t mind paying the $10 to check the bag, but I do not want to pay over weight fees. Is there something better that I could do? Suggestions please.

Many, but not all of the fountains in all 4 parks are now filtered AND ice cold. It's a hit or miss situation. Some are still nasty and warm. Once you find their locations, just fill your bottles there. No nasty taste, and ice cold. The exact location of one at Epcot is to the left of the main entrance as you approach the turnstiles, between the Restrooms and the Cast Only entrance door. There is usually a Security CM standing there.

Wow I neve realized this. I must have only hit the warm ones when I have tried to use them.

If your flying and do not have a rental car here are a few suggestions:
1) Go to Downtown Disney. Across the street is a Hess Station, it is right near Cast Member Building. There you should be able to get a case of Bottled water or cold water and just lug it on the bus back to your room.

2) Take a short Taxi ride into town to a Walgreens or a Publix (the grocery store of Florida). There are plenty around right off property. There you can get cases of water to bring back to your room.

I am in Ft Lauderdale, so when I drive up I go to Wal Mart and Get a few packs of Avian and I bring a soft sided cooler. And we keep the bottles in our room and cold by filling up freezer bags wit the ice from the hotel.

Another option would be that when you get a quick service meal or your snack ask for a large cup of water to go with it. Water is free at WDW, take advantage of it. Oh, and it's filtered.

We always go to the Walmart in Orlanda and get little snacks like chips and bottled water. Its not expencive its the same price you would pay at any other Walmart.

Ditto. More eco friendly and cost effective. I used to have a Brita bottle with a filter and that worked well too, I just don't know if they make them anymore? If they did I would be tempted to use one again.

Britta no longer makes/sells the filtered water bottles. It's too bad because they worked well for Park use.
