Do you think its a mistake to plan a waterpark day on monday oct. 9 its columbus day would epcot be better? Do you think will run into alot of locals at the waterpark that day or is it late enough into fall it really won't matter?

Schools will precide as normal down here, must southern schools and business dont usually as rule give columbus day off

I have that day off, woohoo, which was great because last year I was able to make a long weekend down to the world. It's true that most people don't have that day off, but I'm glad I do!!

I would say your fine my uniformed opinion but I wouldn't woory I was at typhoon on labor day and it was pretty quiet so I'd say go for it.

October is pretty late in the year for a waterpark, so the crowds should not be bad.

I was at the water park the first week of May (somewhat busy), and the lines were not terrible, none of the TL lines were longer than 35 minutes. I think the Family Raft Ride line was the longest, (even though it said 35 minutes, it was actually only about 20 minutes.).

I saw go for it (provided you know the water will seem chilly then).
