The waters parks are open all year round although over winter, one of them is usually in refurb. I think you will be affected by this but off the top of my head I couldn't say which would be open and which would be closed.

There is always one closed during this time of year for a refurb. Last year I thought TL was closed while we were there that time of year, so maybe this time it's BB's turn. Either way, I say Brrrrrrrr to going to a water park that time of year! It was freezing last year at that time and not once did we get into a pool because of the cool weather.

:lol:Florida in November should feel warm to someone from Maine (I used to live in Bangor)

We live 2 hrs north of Bangor in Houlton, but go there pretty much weekly.

Last year it was like 60's (if we were lucky!) during the day and 30's at night. It wasn't until half way through our trip did it ever start to warm up. Usually those temps wouldn't bother us, but as those of you know who live in the Northeast, it's a dry cold, where as Florida is a dampening cold. So, 30's here we're still BBQing but in FL we'd be bundled up! :ROFLOL:

I lived in Orlando from 1990-1993 usually November temps were a little better than that (if memory serves me right). Did you get the Ultrasound in Houlton or at EMMC (I used to work there)
By the way congrats on baby#2:)

Thanks for the info - I was not expecting it to be cold, mind you we are from England and in November it is probably only about 10 degrees "C", so probably will still feel warm to us.

I guess whilst we are in Florida, our friends back home in England will scrapping Ice off there cars !!!

Usually November is pretty good weather wise not extreme heat but not extreme cold. I recall swimming in the Ocean on Boxing day. That being said I am Canadian and we were the only ones in the water.

Thanks! This one was done in Bangor at Dr Beauchamps office. Before you get to the river from the mall area there is a set of lights and it's right beside the car wash that's right there to the left. This was a special test we had done where they do the ultrasound and a blood test to check for downs syndrome. I love seeing the little one in 4d! Pretty cool you can see so much detail at only 12 wks! Now if only July 14th would hurry up and get here so I could find out what we're having! :sohappy:

Don't worry - you won't be cold in November. Coming from the UK, we were there in January once and I still found it warm enough to spend a few hours flying down the slides!

Lot's of other people think it's far too cold so the park will be pretty quiet. All in all, good times to be had!

Usually, one of the water parks close in late fall/winter for refurb (as has already been posted). Also usually, they alternate years between the two.

Last year, Typhoon Lagoon was scheduled to be closed for refurbishment October 26, 1008 - March 22, 2009. I don't recall whether they kept exactly to that schedule or not, but it was probably close.

So, unfortunately for you, it is likely to be Blizzard Beach that is closed this year for approximately the same time period.

But at least you'll be able to visit Typhoon Lagoon. It's pretty good, too. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses. I actually prefer the Typhoon Lagoon lazy creek.

You may get lucky and have BB open the first day or so you are there, but that is a long shot. I can't find anywhere where the refurb schedule has been announced yet.

And being from New Jersey, I can tell you that it will probably quite pleasant for swimming in November for somebody from colder climes. The water will be heated, and in November, although they have their cold snaps, the normal high is 26 C. If you are lucky, a bit warmer. If you are not so lucky, perhaps below 20 C.
