Water Park needed

When I was at disney this past summer there were only two water parks open: Blizzard Beach and Typoon Lagoon. River Country was being "refurbished," though when I walked through part of it to get to Mickey's Backyard BBQ, it did't look like anything was happening. Instead of refurbishing RC, I think they need to build a brand new water park, to help diminish the huge crowds at BB and TL. Also, a water park doesn't take nearly as long to build as another theme park. What do you think?

I'd agree with you that a water park probably doesn't take as long to buid, but...

Water parks aren't as good investments as some other types of attractions as they aren't really year round attractions. I know it stays pretty warm in Florida in the winter, but not warm enough that people flock to water parks day in, day out. Thus, during the winter only 1 water park is open on any given day. Somehow I doubt that Disney wants to spend money on building a third water park that will sit unused half the year, when there's other more pressing issues (such as AK needing more rides/attractions).

WDW is currently planning a new 3rd Water Park. This is because River Country will never reopen in its original form. It is being refurbished to become a new "pool" are for Fort Wilderness guests. They are removing all of the high maintenance attractions and will probably reopen it at the "pool" in the spring. BB and TL are way overcrowded, especially BB. On Summer Weekends, it fills up by 10 AM. Therefore, they will build another one, however, I would rather them expand the current parks, just like they need to expand the current theme parks.

I understand. I have never been to disney during the non-summer season so every time i went to the water parks they were mobed. I do think now that money would be better invested in expanding the current parks. I am glad to hear they are building another water park! Thanks for the repsonses.
