Water Park Help!

I’ve been going to WDW for 30 years, and I’ve never done one of the water parks. All that is going to change this summer. I’m pretty set on going to Typhoon Lagoon, but I have a few questions:
-do they have lockers or some place to store your things while you are in the water?
-I’ll have water shoes for walking around, but do I have to wear them on attractions (mainly the lazy river)?
-how long do people typically stay?
-is there any reason to choose Typhoon Lagoon over Blizzard Beach? Or vice-versa? (I’ll be going alone if that makes any difference)

Thanks for the help!

I love Typhoon
We don't wear the shoes on the lazy river
We were there about 4 hours last time
I always burn in blizzard beach even with the lotions because of the white decorations. I like doing the snorkeling in Typhoon and the little quieter coves that we found to sit in.

Love typhoon
I could spend hours in that wave pool
Normally get there early get a good spot bit out the way but not too far so can have a relaxing afternoon in the sun but easy to jump in the pool if I want
Master blaster early on before gets busy
Hit the slides
Lap of lazy river
Lunch
Another lap in lazy river
Relaxing afternoon in and out of main pool
Hit anymore slides I want
Dry off in the sun and back to hotel prob about 4pm
Don’t wear any footwear paths are kept cool by water sprays
And yes there are lockers different sizes for different prices

We love both parks but love the water coaster at TL. There are lockers of various sizes to stash your stuff. I personally keep my water shoes on all the time because I am diabetic with neuropathy and literally can't feel my feet--if I stub my toe or get a cut, could lead to a bad infection and if bad enough, amputation (I don't mess around going barefoot even in my house). The snorkeling at TL always edges out BB if we had to choose one. I think you'll have a great time! One tip we found when we went in the summer--afternoon thunderstorms tend to clear out the waterparks and we'd head in and have the park to ourselves (it'd still be plenty hot)!

We were sad about the snorkeling too but enjoy the family ride. We are a party of three and we don’t have to wait for another party to come and ride it like we do at B.B. I typically wear my water shoes in the lazy river. I don’t like being barefoot.

That's too bad about the snorkeling :( That was so unique for a water park. Glad to know they at least didn't just take it out and leave it empty...at least there is a slide in its place. Will ha e to ride this summer!
