Water Park Group Rides

I'm going on a solo trip to Disney World this summer and I'd like to ride the group raft rides, but as a party of 1 will I be placed with another group for the ride? Or will I be able to ride alone.

Thanks

I understand the one at Animal Kingdom. That's fine. I'd be more uncomfortable at the water parks on those group rides just because of the seating situation.
My Adult son has tried to ride alone a couple of times and he said they told him no... To be honest I would skip it... Summit Plummet is much better!! :)

I went solo too. I love waterparks, love all the rides, so I tried for a group ride. This was once but never again. It's real awkward to ride together with other people, in your swimwear, being tossed about, more physically entangled than in a game of twister.

I guess it would be fine if they could fill up a raft with just single riders. But I'm never again asking strangers if I can join them for a ride. (Bless them for being so kind as to allow me to ride with them though!)

Kali at DAK is just fine alone. :)

That seems very odd though. And unfair. My boyfriend and I went to BB a couple of weeks ago and didn't have a problem with the big family raft, though that's obviously different than a single person. They should be able to board you with a group if they only have three or four, for example.

I would expect they'd but you with a group if only from a safety standpoint? Since they are designed for groups, would assume are designed with a weight of more than one person in mind for going down. I could be totally wrong though.

That being said, I've gone as a party of 1/placed with a group and it was just fine. I had fun. Guess I just didnt care about whether I bumped a stranger a bit, even in a bathing suit. Not going to let something like that ruin my fun... I was on a semi-solo trip in February (mom was with but she only came to the parks in later afternoon) so sometimes I was with people I didnt know on rides and such. Wasnt a big deal

At BB (Teamboat Springs?) we had 3 people (no one else in line! early in day) and we had to wait a bit for another party to come along so we could ride. Min. of 4 guests. The CM said it has to do with the weight balance of the raft.

In answer to your question, we have never seen a solo rider at TL raft ride, so we are unsure how it would be handled. We have always gone as a group of 5. Sometimes kids were too small to do raft rides, so we skipped them. When they were big enough, we took the raft ride but it was nothing to write home about. I too wouldn't pin my plans on group raft rides. At TL there is plenty of other stuff to do. We really like Shark Reef and Lazy River.
