Water Park day & Epcot night

Hi there,
Fresh off my trip, I'm already planning another! 27 days til I start making ADRs! We are headed to Typhoon Lagoon for the first time ever on our upcoming trip and were thinking of heading to Epcot later that night. I see Typhoon lagoon is open 10 to 5, and being that we've never been, we were curious as to how long it takes to enjoy TL? Should we expect to spend the entire 10 to 5 there? Thanks for your help!

You definitely could.....as long as you are a fan of water slides. The rest of the time could be spent lazing around on Castaway Creek. I would arrive at opening to claim a chair in the shade.....be on the bus at your hotel by 9 AM. Then you can enjoy the park all day. Leave plenty of travel time to get back to your hotel to shower and change before going into Epcot for the night. I would leave TL by 4 to avoid a mass exodus at 5 and crowded busses. Have a Magical Time!:cat:

We have done it many times TL in the morning to mid afternoon, back to our resort for rest and clean up and then a park at night. We usually get there at opening and by mid afternoon "hit the wall." For us that rest in the afternoon is the key to spenting the night out.

Since by my math you are heading down late April/early May, you shouldn't have a problem doing TL in a day. It really depends on how often you want to do each attraction. If I recall correctly, the longest wait is usually for the snorkeling since that's a slow loader. Otherwise it's a matter of how long you want to spend floating in the lazy river or by playing in the wave pool.

Your math is correct! Early May it is! Any recommendations on which rides to hit first besides the snorkeling?

if you get there at opening I'd do the family raft ride after the shark reef.

uh oh, maybe you can enlighten me. i didn't think shark reef was as long a line as some others. we are going there for the first time (well, as least in many years) next week, and i was planning to do crush n gusher and all the "Falls" first, then shark reef later? will I encounter a long line there? do i need to change my plan?
thanks for any help you can give

The wait for the snorkeling at shark reef and the family raft ride are usually the longest waits. You might skip the family raft ride though, since it's not as good as crush n gusher, or as good as the family raft ride at Blizzard Beach.

You could go with just two, but at TL (unless it's changed recently) they are bulky rafts that you have to roll up the steps yourself. It might be worth doing if you're there for several hours and the line isn't too long.

The BB family raft ride is much longer, and you don't have to carry your own raft up a hill.
