Water park belongings/towels/shoes

Dumb question for the day... our family has many many WDW and DL trips but will have our first water park day in April. staying on property so will have towel access. We have done indoor places like Great Wolf as well, but no water parks in years.
We have done local water parks in the past with crocs or cheap old navy flip flops and our worst towel we don't care to loose. At our local water park we just stash our shoes at the bottom of the slides with our towels and a small bag with cover ups and sunglass. We would then grab then once out of the water. Most attending the park did the same.
So my questions is what do we do with our phones, shoes, hats sunglasses and provided towels? We have some water proof bags that we use while boating and canoeing. But what do you do with them while on the actual slide?
I am sure this is the dumbest question of the day...

Most people just leave their stuff at their chair. I know some people that get a locker because they’re concerned about theft, but I’ve never had any issues with towels or shoes or anything being stolen from my chair.

At Blizzard Beach there’s usually a OCSO deputy near the main beach, and the number of cast members and security I think deter any potential thieves.

Do note: if you leave only your provided towels at the chair, the towels might be picked up as a Cast Member might think you left for the day. Make sure to leave at least your shoes at the chair with your towels.

Not a dumb question! I think I plan to wear my shoes (tevas) on the slides. I believe they’re allowed, at least on tube slides. We may not even get towels at first, since we don’t want to carry/move them around. So we’ll likely put everything in a locker, except maybe an underwater camera or a cell phone in a waterproof pouch.

Should be allowed on tube slides. Body slides you’ll hold them against your chest I believe. Can’t remember if mat slides allow them now of if you still have to stash them “inside” of the front of the mat. Either way, should be good at all slides with them.
