Water Park and more ?

Last year we did the PHwWP option on our tickets and this year we only choose the PH but I think I want to add the WP now. I don't think I quite understood/understand exactly how it works. After reading a previous post I think I'm even more confused
Is this how it would work if I had a 4 day PHwWP ticket or do I have to use the WP protion on the same day as I use a Park ticket?
Day 1 Downtown Disney
Day 2 Magic Kingdom/Hollywood Studios
Day 3 DS Birthday - Blizzard Beach/DTD (possibly Quest)
Day 4 Epcot/Magic Kingdom
Day 5 DH Birthday - Animal Kingdom / Epcot
Day 6 Resort Day (possible Water Park?)
Day 7 Magic Kingdom/Hollywood Studios
Day 8 Leave to home :(

We are considering adding the WP option as well, and it's my understanding that you get a WP admission for each day of your regular tickets, but you don't necessarily have to use the WP ticket on one of your park days. We're planning on a very similar schedule to yours, with one day at the resort and WP.

From what I understand its "entitlements".. we have 10 day WP&M PH tickets.. I get 10 days of main parks and 10 entrances to the WP&M..so if on one day we go to blizzrd beach and disneyquest we have used 2 entitlements.. then the next time we go to Typoon Lagoon and Disney quest that's 2 more..so we have 6 left each.

Basically with the PHwWP you can visit any of the 6 parks (4 theme parks and 2 water parks) at any time, as often as you want during your trip.

That is not true. See the previous posters who gave a correct explanation.

Theme parks days and water-parks-and-more admissions are not related to each other in any way, other than you get the same number of WP&M admissions as you have theme park days on your ticket.

Ok so I would have 4 PH days as planned but also 4 admissions to WP even if all my PH days are used? They don't have to be on the same day.

Correct. But unless you purchase the No Expiration, all aspects of your ticket (theme parks and WP&M) expire 14 days from first use of any part of the ticket.

I never said they had any relation to each other, I simply said you can visit any park you want as many times as you want during your stay. So if she wants to hit a water park every afternoon after being in the parks in the morning, she can do that. Or if she wanted to just hit the water parks during her entire stay and only visit a park on her last day, she could do that too.

In other words, yes - your plan should work fine with the 4 day PH/WP and More :)

You can, but do not have to, use your water park days on your regular park days.

Boy did I jip myself last year then  Thank you guys :)

Not true at all.. I can't go to Disney quest 10 times and the water parks 10 times each.. that isnt gonna happen

I didn't mention Disney quest did I? But the point remains, she can visit a water park each day of her vacation without any issue. Her question was about availability, not frequency.

Who would visit Disney Quest more than once anyway? LOL!!

The OP stated that they have a 4-day ticket with WP&M option for their 8-day trip. That means they only have *4* water park admissions. There is no possible way that their ticket will get them into a water park for every single day of their 8-day vacation.

I think you know what you're trying to say, but your word choices are very open to interpretation/mis-interpretation. "each day of your vacation" is probably not being interpreted by most people in the same way you're thinking you mean it.

Can I just say one thing, if your only planning the water park for one day, you could save a few bucks and just buy a ticket for that day. But that of course is if you don't think you will make it back. Disneyquest tickets are now included in the resort package for two people(at least ours was). I would wait till your down there before adding the option, because you might decide the weather is not working out, and you dont save anything buying it now

So if you were down there for 10 days, could you get the PH option for all 10 days but only get the WP&M option for say 3 days? I totally get how they work with each entrance costing you 1 from your total purchased, but just realized after reading this thread that I probably have wasted a bunch of days on our previous trips. We always go for 10 days and get WP&M and PH options for all 10 days, but usually only hit up each water park and DQ once each. Would you really be saving that much money by knocking some days off in the long run anyways?

That's what I orginally was going to do then I read a thread the other day and realized I didn't know how the tickets worked. The single day WP tickets would cost us a little over 200 with tax (2adult 2 kids) but if I add the feature to the tickets it would only cost 94 total (according to the website) I got my mickey mail and did notice the quest admission but I would still have to get 2 more admissions for my DH and myself wouldn't I? Ahhhh so

If you already have park hoppers its just $22 PER person to add WP&M which is way more economical than buying a one day ticket to a water park.
