Watching the Super Bowl in Anaheim tomorrow?

As there really isn't a dedicated "Sports Bar" in the Resort District since ESPNZone closed...

My first instinct is to head to one of the bars/cocktail lounges in the area's swanky steakhouses: Ruth's Chris, Morton's, or Fleming's. Excellent bartenders and good service, and a great bar menu to feast on while you imbibe and watch. Not cheap, but very good!

Just east of the Santa Ana Freeway from the Resort District is Lopez & Lefty's; a typical non-corporate yet rather large sports bar with good food and casual, friendly service. It will have a noticeably less touristy and more local vibe. TDA execs of yore were known to hang out there and down a few pints and/or shots after work before they aimed their Company-car Buicks and Cadillacs onto the freeway for home.

Less swanky backups than the steakhouses would be the bars in some other restaurants I like in the Resort District: McCormick & Schmick's at GardenWalk: solid bartenders with great raw oysters this time of year and other ocean-themed bar food! The House of Blues at GardenWalk also has big/nice bar with plenty of TV's, and appropriately themed American bar food for the Super Bowl. There's also a few bars/saloon type places on the lower northern end of GardenWalk, I forget what they're called but one was definitely an Irish bar of some sort. You can't go wrong there, although the vibe is definitely touristy.

If you do end up at GardenWalk to watch the game, can you say hello to these old friends for me? They're down along Disney Way, below House of Blues. Thanks in advance!
