So with all this free time thanks to Covid, I'm getting back to hitting my treadmill hard. I'd like to get a watch of some sort to track calories but I don't want the gadgets that require you to wear something over your chest. Just a straight up bracelet/watch/wrist device of some sort. Was thinking about a Garmin model but curious if any of you have a device that you're really happy with.

Update: Ended up getting a Fitbit Charge 4 (new model). Enjoying it so far, seems to do a solid job picking up my heartbeat and calculating calories burnt!

I have an old skool Charge 2. You can link your Charge 4 to My Fitness Pal, if you are looking for a free place to track your eats (and kcal).

Do you know if it tracks macros? I like tracking calories for exercise but for food all I care about is whether I'm hitting my targets for protein, carbs, and fat.

Yes, if you track your meals or foods, it should break it down into cals and then macros (or you can input those points yourself). Don't quote me, but I think if you download the app on the phone, you can scan the bar code. It's been a while since I used it. :)
